Why anyone would side with that psycho serial killer who defiles snu snu, and then most likely sets her free to kill more by snu snu is beyond me...

Because one wouldn't agree on the statements that you just provided. ^_^

So I guess one would say preying on innocents and luring them to death is a good thing?

Allow me to explain.  The Shepard + Morinth romance subplot is like The Twilight Saga.  Edward and Bella can't do it because if they do, Edward will go batsh*t and suck out all her blood, but that just makes her want him more.  However, she knows that if she abstains long enough for Edward's family to accept her, then he'll inject her with his vampire venom and make her into another vampire, so she can survive childbirth,  If Shepard stays faithful to Morinth in ME2 but abstains, she totally will turn him into another ardat-yakshi.

That's so stupid it makes sense. Image IPB

Samara preys on cops who are just doing their jobs and anyone who gets in her way.  Morinth, on the other hand, only kills hipsters. Regular people like the ones Samara kills are too mainstream for her.

Good one lol. Only it's Morinth that wants Shepard, but it will never work. I do not believe there is any chance of them being together.

No one would say that it was either needed for survival or greater purpose, or she didn't pray on innocents at all. But that is just a speculation again.

OR she prayed on innocents, but Samara is far worse, and Morinth is far more useful. So.. Still makes sense to reqruit her even if she is a killer.

Oh I see now! She wasn't killing people all those years just for sh*ts and giggles like we thought, it was to prepare for the reapers!

Exactly! She gets smarter, faster, and stronger every time she kills.  Hopefully she'll be super charged in ME3, she was already great at killing husks as it was!

I also added a line there, but I really believe she had a purpose yes, like braking her sisters out of seclusuion for example. Again speculation.

Anyway, once Morinth injects me with her Ardat-Yakshi venom, I won't have to worry about death by snu snu anymore. Sadly, there is no such compound to protect me from Samara should she decide to bring me to justice for sanitizing Zhu's Hope.

So you intend to turn the Normandy into some space-harlem of space-vampires? Brutha, that's heresy!

Space-harlem? Holy crap on a stick, imagine how powerful she could grow there!  The reapers would be as good as dead!

Once again, the cops are not doing their job ... they are arresting Samara without just cause. That makes them dirty cops who are abusing their power. If they are willing to arrest a Justicar for political reasons what have they done to everyday people?

Also, if Shepard were detained while chasing saren and was stopped for political reasons how far would he/she go to get back on the trail? Would that Shepard see those "law enforcement agents" as innocent? Yours might .. mine wouldn't.

So the cops do not get a pass here. But this thread has so derailed on why one would save Morinth. It's almost like an election, you are just picking the character (nominee) that you hate the least.

There is one serious difference. Shepard was saving the galaxy and had his own reasons. Samara just follows a crappy code that I do not support, that I think the galaxy would do better without, so any actions on her code come across as bad to me.

Both were chasing murderers and while on the trail were detained ... If you believe, as Samara did, that Morinth would continue her killing spree there really is no difference. They both were trying to save lives (1 or 1,000,000) and the system for political reasons alone were trying to stop them. How far would your Shepard go to get free?

But I know that you hate Samara so you will give her a zero pass. That's cool. You have your hands full defending Morinth so I'll let this topic of Samara pass by.

I don't hate Samara, I hate her code, and she is her code, so I hate her.

Seriously though, I believe that everything Morinth has done is Samara's fault to begin with. I do not really want to focus on that specific situation with police station. I just generaly consider Samara worse than Morinth, and unlike Morinth completely unfixable.

So you save Morinth because you think that Shepard may be able to fix her and that (s)he can't fix Samara?

Anyone know where to find that thing Dean_The_Young wrote where Samara almost kills Joker?

That and because she is really more useful to the mission. And because unlike Samara she didn't choose to become what she is, but Samara did choose.

Not a different system of morality but the one that is hurtful to society.

I personally believe that in canon no squad member sits on the Normandy and is being useless. There are a total max of 12 squadies so I imagine ALL of them would visit every mission. 3 members are just a part of gameplay, not story. And as I said it makes sense for everyone to know who they are working with to know what to expect in battle, so everyone would have the background on each other, not involving teary personal stories that are shared with Shepard.

Yes, truly the Justicar are a horrible mark upon Asari society, which is exactly why they are idolized and still an organization.

First off, as I said, it is quite impossible for every squad member to go on every mission, simply because you wouldn't have access to them until you've picked them up.  Some missions, like Kasumi's or Samara's, are basically one or two man jobs, so there's no need to drag everyone else away from what they're doing.  And then, you don't need every squad member to finish the game, you don't need to pick up Samara at all when Jack exists.  And this supposed dialog between squadmates assumes that they want to talk about themselves more than is necessary.  You think Jack is going to sit there and talk about her life with Tali, or is she going to just tell her she's a biotic and that Tali should, I don't know, creative insult?

Yes I consider Justicars a horrible mark upon asari society.

And as I said, I consider it rational for every crew member to be provided with the information about who they are working with, so they could work as a team better tactics wise.
