And Leon and Chris in the same game? Evil didn't bring enough BOWs.

Will there ever be another game like RE2?
This is like asking whether Bioware will ever make another Baldur's gate styled game. The answer is no. For better or for worse, the times have changed.

The least they can do is change the name. It's really deviated from the original RE feel.
But its certainly in line with the Biohazard feel, probably why they haven't thought of changing it.

They haven't thought of changing it because they're afraid they may lose money.

But seriously, I am very ****ing stoked for this game. It looks to be the ending of the serie's storyline. I am --->HOPING<--- all the chars will make a return, other than in mercenaries or whatever. I want to see Becca and barry!
SO STOKED. Very surprised too!

From the looks of it the trailer, I really hope Leon's campaign will be a return to survival horror, Chris looks heavy on the action. I dunno about that 3rd guy, a Wesker type kind of character in terms of abilities?
There is one "Wesker Child" not accounted for, Alex Wesker. That very well could be him. With a name like Alex, however, it can also be a girl.
I would love to see a female version of Albert kicking our asses.

I think I saw Ashley Graham in the trailer as well. Well, I heard her voice at least.

If Barry comes back I'll eat my own face with excitement. I want to see him confuse a tyrant to death with awkward dialogue. I'd also like to get some closure on Billy and Rebecca, unless they have shown up in handheld games that I missed out on and are now dead without me knowing.
Pretty sure that was Ashley with the gingery baldish guy.

Did you play RE5? You find out that "Wesker" was in a program that Spenser made. The program kidnapped children all over the world, and dropped their surnam for "Wesker".
They trained these children to be the best, and indoctrinated them to find Spenser, problem was, they never "programmed" what they would do after the meeting, spenser hope the child would be his minion or what not. However, Albert Wesker killed him.
There was a total of...12(?) "Weskers", all varying races and genders, all are dead NOW except one, that one is named ALEX Wesker, and he/she is MIA, but I think the dude with the buzz cut is Alex.
I know the meat of my paragraph is right, maybe not the small details, you can look it up in RE5 under it's codex or it's equilivalnt.

Bloody hell. I played RE5 but for some reason I can't remember most of it. I don't even know why because I didn't actually hate it or anything I just didn't think it was as good as the previous games. I'll have to pick it up cheap and have another play through it I suppose. I can actually remember the main parts like what happened but for some reason I haven't a clue what was said. I need to rectify this.MarchWaltz wrote...

I'd be much more interested with a female lead. Resident Evil 3 was the last one in the series I really enjoyed. Well, Code Veronica was pretty good. Glad to see a PC version is being developed at least (still no since of Capcom bringing Dragon's Dogma, an RPG, to the PC though).
I'm just happy to see Leon in the game - he has so much more personality than Chris. I'm quite interested to see how the game plays out. Not sure if I like the idea of 3 mini-campaigns, then an Ada level or two chucked on the end, as IGN are implying may be the case. Especially if they don't play in sequential order, and you are allowed to pick the order to play them in.

Leon was always a brick wall. All the characters in RE have zero personality, except maybe Claire and Rebecca.
Anyways, RE: 4 was pretty much the worst. I mean it was a good game, but it ended the survival horror aspect of the series. My favorite was Code Veronica and, no lie, Outbreak, but I doubt they will ever make another game like either of those.
Looks to me like the series involving the usual cast is ending. I think it will probably start going the post-apocalyptic route after this game.

I agree. Claire is one of the greatest and most level headed characters in the franchise. She's also the one who's had the best voice acting ever since RE2. I have mixed feelings about Rebecca, probably because I'm thinking of the Original version of her but in Zero she was a neat character. Billy was awesome too and I'm sad we haven't seen more of him ever since.SOLID_EVEREST wrote...

Yeah, I don't really count the first RE game when I'm talking about Rebecca. She was sooo cute in RE: Zero. Billy was okay, but he shows way more emotion than any other RE male character. Have you played Outbreak? People hated that game, but I always thought it was an awesome online game. I especially love how everyone picked Kevin and acted like a human tank.

Mind sharing that time machine of yours?
This game is looking good. Looks like Chris's part is going to be all action and Leon's is more survival horror type deal like they used to. This should satisfy most. Claire would have been nice to make a return but alas.
