Well unless Caroline Livingstone is a straight up liar, she did mention that Freddie is a video gamer and has been a fan of the Mass Effect franchise. If nothing else, he's played the games and has a good core of what the series means.

What more could you ask of a person that's voicing a vital role in the final game?

Heh, well said.

I agree, after seeing vega talk in these clips his dudebro factor has been lowered quite a bit.

OK, great. I like Beattie too. But this thread isn't about that.

Ditto.

That's right:

Before I read, this has no ME3 spoilers right?

Absolutely not! I have not read any of the script leaks!

Ok, just making sure. I haven't either and I didn't want to read anything about it. I'm checkin this link out now.

No worries. :)

It definitely pays to be vigilant..

Indeed it does.

So I learned a bit, and remembered things I had previously forgot, such as the Protheans watching over Cavemen on Earth etc. I read it all and it was a good read. Still makes me ponder some things though.

Thanks for the link none the less.

And really, a decade? He was just on the last season of 24 and he did a fine good job IMO.

Yeah, a decade.  The last season of 24?  Weren't the last few season ratings in the toilet?  I haven't paid attention to that show in a quite a few years.  Wasn't Bioware hyping this up as a big surprise?  Ridiculous and awesomely terrible.

They should have made Vega an African Earthian or whatever the country setup is in ME3 and got Stringer Bell aka Idris Elba for the role.

FREDDIE PRINZE JR!

We get it, you're not a fan of the guy, that's cool. Really you're more than welcome to dislike it, but until you actually see him in action, it's just foolish to get bent out of shape is all I'm saying.

I'm not a big fan of Liara, but I see no reason to just gripe about it. I don't like her, end of story.

Idris Elba best role was Stringer Bell imo, beyond that his acting in other movies wouldn't be deemed impressive. But I'm not knocking him either.

Can anyone link me to the article/podcast/quote where Beattie supposedly got angry over not being re-hired?

That's not what happened.

Several fans, including Vertigo (originally) and then myself, have corresponded with Beattie via email and he's expressed his immense gratitude at being part of the great franchise but also stated that he sees the passion of fans who want him back and suggested that we make that clear to BioWare.

I can't quote (I don't know where it is either) but his e-mails did say things like "if enough people boycott the game maybe I can reprise my role" or something along those lines.

Okay, watched the crappy recording on the Russian website. Pretty cool new footage, I noticed how different the Normandy is, with Joker and the crew wearing the blue/grey uniform...

This, Beattie has been nothing but cordial and understanding in all of his correspondances.

He said that if enough people let Bioware know they might reconsider, he said nothing about boycotting.

Yeah, I was digging for that. He did indeed mention boycotting, which is what led to some people flipping.

On a whole I was rather pleased with what I saw on the show. Some truly epic things.

Intriguingly enough, Arcian has recently spotted Michael Beattie in TOR. Just throwing that out there. And that's the last I'll say on that subject here, probably.

My other favorite part is when that Turian blew that female merc's head clean off with what looked like the Widow.

So satisfying

Super low-quality here:

GameTrailers will be adding it to their website in a little over an hour though. Much prettier there.

hey y'all: i posted a couple shots i took on my phone (!) on my flickr page if you wanna check them out. liara looks like quite the badass - not that she wasn't before, mind you! also: is that captain bailey in one of the shots? i'm pretty sure but couldn't tell. really digging the new weapon work bench screen/normandy cargo bay, tho as someone else mentioned it was shown during the MP segment.

also, someone was requesting joker earlier; he's here too!
