Yeah, the site's a mess this afternoon. Luckily, I'm surfing on my laptop with the Houston/Buffalo game on the TV, so it's not that bad.

Bio, do you really want your forum slowing to a crawl on the Sunday before release?

Not sure what the issue is, but yeah, speed has been absolutely horrid since late last night.

Yep being slow as hell here, I'm also getting a lot of the stuff ngen posted, takes several minutes to load a thread and then there's no thread only that error code at the top of the page.

Also some friends are having some serious issues uploading new images to their albums, the servers timing out, refusing to upload and such.

Doesn't that seem like something they should have done at like 3am GMT last Thursday or something?

I know I've made a lot of purchasing decisions surfing the web on a lazy Sunday afternoon for games that are coming out that Tuesday.

I think there must be some sort of re-organisation going on. At one point, I got an "unavailable" message on the toolset forum along the lines of "no license key registered".

(edit -added) The server took 2m37s to respond to my posting the above.

It's slow for me, and I keep getting a 'Stack Overflow at Line 0' message.

Here too, and actually I got a site down for maintenence a bit ago. So I'll bet that they are getting something ready or something happened.

Have been on and off since this morning hoping it would speed up. I thought I would get some entertainment out of the forums today while waiting for release date but at > 2 min to load anything it is rather boring.

I'm guessing they've taken most of the server capacity out of line and we're running on a shoestring

Maybe we can expect a shiny, new, non-beta site tomorrow.

At least this answers the question "What will you do to pass the time until the game is released?"

It doesnt help that traffic is quite high at the moment with all of us trying to get our DA:O fix to keep us going before release.

But yes...veeeery slow.

I just deployed some code to somewhat reduce load on the site - our databases are just a tad overloaded. Working on further fixes to make it better.
