So I believe many of you have already finished this storyline.

To put it shortly, you can side with Lady of the Forest and the werewolves she leads, against the seemingly innocent but mildly selfish Dalish elves.

It is, in my opinion, one of the best storylines possible in Dragon Age Origins. Because it was, the most unpredictable and stuuning outcome. Not too many chances to tag along with the true, fierce force of nature itself in Thedas, yes?

Yet this storyline is completely cut off in Dragon Age 2. No further stories concerning these werewolf clans and Brecilian Forest is in the game.

I'dl like to know, what do you think about the next Dragon Age installment bringing back this epic storyline?

There are actually two references to "Nature of the Beast" in DA2.

The first is a seemingly random encounter you can have on the Wounded Coast between "cured" werewolf and the daughter of Danyla, the Dalish elf-turned werewolf. The elf intends to kill the human, who in turn begs for Hawke's help. Hawke can either walk away, kill Danyla's daughter or convince her to forget her vendetta.

The second is a quest called "Changing One's Nature," which you get if you sided with the werewolves and slaughtered Zathrian's tribe. A human relative of a werewolf visits Marethari's clan and begs for their assistance in brewing a potion that will help control their bestial urges. She mentions that the curse is causing both the werewolves and the Lady of the Forest to lose their minds.

I don't think there will be any expansion of Nature of the Beast arc in future installment, save from referrals as what we saw in DA2, mentioned by evildude above. First reason is unless the next installments would revisit the Brecilian Forest area again, we won't see much of Lady's influence outside of the area even if you choose to side with her. Secondly, those choosing the other alternatives, i.e. either siding with Zathrian slaughtering all werewolves or convincing him to undo the curse would miss out on the story expansion.

I agree with Mizar, I don't see much mentioned in the future. This may be just my opinion but I don't see siding with the werewolves as anything close to epic.

It is an unusual twist to the storyline but not completely unheard of within fantasy/horror. That being the maker and overlord/torturer of powerful but enslaved/tortured beings ends up getting killed by them. (How many movies have had this as a premise?)

The Lady of the Forest herself was a bit of a twist in that she was the most civil and peaceful of the 3 leaders (her, Zathrian, and Swiftrunner).

I don't see it going further unless you are given 3 options.:

1. To kill off the werewolves a 2nd time after they have lost their minds and moved on (been driven out) into a new area.

2. Running into Zathrian after he left his Dalish tribe (if you sided with him).

3. Running into that specific Dalish tribe for some reason-note that if you do it probably won't relate to much werewolf but some other quest (which means a different Dalish group could work and references to werewolves would likely be in passing).

I agree with Mizar. However, I believe the quest opened up alot of avenues that could be expanded on. The tale of the great battle in the forest, the arcane warrior soul recalling ancient elves and humans (tevinters?) fighting alongside against a greater evil. There was also some of the stuff the Grand Oak Tree talked about. Maybe even finding out what made that hermit/mage crazy.

In short I think the quest established that there is a lot of history to the Brecelian forest that can be built upon in future games.

at least the story of Arcane Warrior is not even started. When i unlocked the talent I was intrigued that there was an ancient elven armor to be worn.

Back to the topic, we know that the ending of the DA:O mentioned that Lady of the Forest again, and in DA2, the preset story Hero of Ferelden contains the choice of siding with her in DA:O .

What do you think about it? The Maker surely has some plan for them, no?

According to the Wiki, the only pre-built history where the Warden recruits the werewolves is the "No Compromise" background.

Again, I doubt we'll ever see the Lady of the Forest again, as she's dead in most playthroughs or completely mad.
