So far I am interested in playing/buying Nier. Are there any other Underrated games I should give a go?

As a note, I only have a Xbox 360(primary gaming method) and a PC. My PC isn't all that great so I can really only play older games.

Lost Odyssey, best JRPG of this generation.

Alpha Protocol is also worth checking, though, but it does somewhat disappoint combat-wise.

Arcanum got underrated fiercely by critics.

The Journeyman Project 2 was one of my favorite adventure games back in the day.

Neverwinter Nights is a classic, but doesn't get a whole lot of attention.

Psychonauts, from the mind of Tim Schafer(Monkey Island Series, Full Throttle, Brutal Legend, etc.)

Vampire: The Masquerade - Blood Something Something. Also from steam, The Longest Journey doesn't get much attention.

In Retail Stores:

Alpha Protocol.
Heavy Rain.
LA Noire.
Too Human.
Brütal Legend.

Other:
Mother 3.
Jade Empire.

Already played Jade Empire. ****ing loved it. Wish BioWare released a sequel.

No More Heroes. And the sequel. Also Catherine. And Limbo. And..... Persona 4. (though I don't know if you'd consider that underrated or not? I'd consider it underrated.) Heavy Rain is AMAZING as well, as someone said though I know it's definitely one of those you either love it or hate it deals.

If you buy on steam then The painkiller series is a great stress reliever IMO xD. It was $4 and i picked it up then but it's back to $20 now. They all have a bad metacritic but they are fun games.

Simply amazing - one of the best games I've ever played, and it should run fine on your older PC.

I really want to play that! It's kinda much on orignal xbox though and same with pc. Steam should put it on there. I've never read the Cthulu mythos though. I want to and plan to but never got around to buying them.
