After seeing the E3 trailer, I can't wait to play this game to experience the neverending torrent of unfortunate events, bad luck and brutalities Lara will be forced through, all accompanied by incessant moaning and screaming.

I think even the average Road Runner cartoon doesn't have half the crap Lara goes through in that trailer. It's obscene.

Did you see the actual gameplay shown recently?

I didn't hear Lara make any noises outside of the event scene where you'd have to be some kind of robot not to be grunting and screaming. She was pretty badass, too.

Gameplay confirmed the game as an Uncharted clone.

She was indeed badass, as badass as she was in Legend, or Anniversary, or Underworld, killing about a hundred goons (at one point even going Rambo on one, pushing an arrow through the throat), not bad for a supposedly inexperienced young woman. The Croft genes must be quite something, indeed.

Hopefully that's just the intro, it looked like a cover shooter. I'm not convinced at all.

Being an uncharted clone is a bad thing? Better than old TR gunplay. Plus the seemingly big emphasis on destructable environments looks cool. Open environments with RPG systems that aid combat and environmental traversal is something uncharted doesn't have, too.

And this is probably much later in the game where she is more experienced.

I'm interested to see where this goes. The reason I play video games is the Tomb Raider series. I was 2 when I first started playing, and used to pretend I was Lara (she was my hero). :P A lot of people are scared that this game isn't going to stay true to Lara, but we don't know much yet. I just hope she stil retains some old qualities... I get that she's inexperienced, but she just seems... helpless, instead. At least until this event happenend.

I wish the facial animations were better, but that can be improved(hopefully).

Getting Uncharted vibes which is a good thing seeing as I don't have a PS3.

Hopefully the quicktime events aren't plentiful.

I absolutely loathe quicktime events.

This game is billed as open world but there is no exploration and no puzzles. It's just one long corridor with no cover.

Links?

How are people calling this corridor with no cover when we see her in cover in the open?  I see cliffs and wide open forest how is that corridors?

Anyway I finally saw today's presentation of this and offiically sold.  This will be the first Tomb Raider game that I've ever given a damn about.  I played one of the earlier ones and hated it.
Takes a lot to get someone as cynical as I am on the franchise to say yes.

Also people are calling everything that was shown at E3 an Uncharted clone.  I'm starting to think no one actually played Uncharted.

Seriously. Uncharted has become the next punching bag, like COD, to receive criticism from people who haven't played it.

After seeing all the trailers and following the news I am really excited about this one, can't wait to get into it. Just the fresh breath the franchise needs.

Question: Is this a reboot or not? I'm getting mixed answers from others.

There is only one correct answer. It is a reboot.

None of the previous installments have anything to do with this one. This is rebooting the franchise.

The E3 2011 demo has a puzzle in it.

They also confirmed there's exploration tied into completing tasks in order to progress the story. Seriously people, five seconds on google will answer these questions.

Haven't played TR since Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation on Dreamcast. That was AGES ago, this has rekindled my interest in the franchise.
