No it's not a chore, but I don't like the Firewalker mission.

I don't think anyone claims to like those missions.  Opinions seem to vary between "They're okay, if a little broken," to "Oh my God I hate this so much!" but no one really likes them.  But for free DLC, it's hardly fair to expect great works of art.  For the record, I thought they had potential, but fell short.

Anyway, ME1 became like this for me quite some time ago.  ME2 is getting there, and I haven't played it in a couple of months, which is a long time for me since I have so few games.  I've basically been playing it off and on since I got it on release day, so I have many, many Shepards.  I wouldn't be surprised if I had 20+ Shepards on my hard drive.

I gotta ask too OP, why would you delete Shepards?  Is space at a premium or something?

If I am going to do the Firewalker mission I do it right before the Arrival mission.

Nope, the only issues I have are getting Jack and Miranda both loyal. In some of my previous plays I have them loyal. It bleh with those two, I usually side with Miranda or leave one of their missions out.

I just have played ME2 way too much and deleted old characters, now getting through it all is a bit of a chore. Anyone else feel this way?

Totally. Last summer I deleted some characters and started over to actually do all the missions and get all the upgrades and all. Even collected all the raw materials in ME1. But then I got stuck somewhere in 2. Now I'm pushing myself through it. But I think after playing ME3 two times with my canon character, I will want to start a whole ME1-ME2-ME3-campaign again because then I will know what triggers what in the end.

Not really. I was replaying some of my first characters that I took through ME2 but put the game down when I got Skyrim. Now I'll go back and finish what I started.

ME1 and ME2 are plain boring now, I milked them to the death, so I'm not gonna play them again. My saves are all ready to be imported in ME3, so unless something become real wrong in ME3 and need to be fixed in ME1-2, I'm not going to replay them for a long time.

Did an ME1 run a little while ago. Haven't worked up the urge to go back to ME2. I've got better things to do, better games to play. I just can't go back to "Even death is a problem that goes away if you throw enough money at it"

I'm burnt out on ME1 and 2. With ME2 I can enjoy the combat for short bursts but overall I have done everything I want to do already.

If there is anything I want to tweak, I have gibbed, which will probably get a ME3 release as well.

I can be a chore (talking through all the long dialgue bits). But.. I actually feel like I made both my canon female shepard and my male shepard.

I have other female characters - those are easy to redo. They don't have a scanned face like male shep. But male shepard does so it's really hard for me to do another playthrough.. I feel like if I customize a male shepard, it won't be all that important since it doesn't have the canon face.

I've been working on one final Shepard, a paragon female vanguard to bring through from Mass Effect, into Mass Effect 2 and onward Mass Effect 3 as my main import character. The only parts of both games that aren't a chore and a real struggle to get through are the main plot missions. Running around the Citadel solving problems for pedestrians, climbing the endless godforsaken mountains of Nodacrux, fixing the solar shielding arrays of remote weather research stations - none of these are even remotely fun on the fifteenth attempt.

None of this is made any easier by the fact that I now find myself attempting to roll away from incoming projectiles or holding down the melee button and being immediately disappointed with the lack of holographic blades puncturing the jugular veins of my enemies.

This is, of course, all Bring Down the Sky's fault for not having been reduced in price when I finished my first batch of Mass Effect import characters and the depressing news report about the candlelit vigil being held in remembrance of the people I couldn't afford to save the first time around. Not that I'm complaining (oh wait, yes I am!), Spacer is a much better background choice for my paragon Shepard than Earthborn which I picked without really reading the description first time around.

I've basically just been to occupied with random things in life in the last 6 months to finish off my last few Sheps.

That and ME2s starting to get a tad old. The main story and DLC are fine, but some of the dumber side missions and DLC (Firewalker) are hurdles.

I've been able to squeeze some more time in lately, now that things have settled slightly, so I should still be able to finish most of my PTs for ME3.

I tend to do them early since there is no need for skills and actual talent. They're short, get you some XP so get 'em over with.

If the thing was just slightly less flammable than kindling I doubt I'd never have an issue.

Yes, now it is a bit of a grind. ME2 less so because the combat holds up better, and there's not a whole load of uncharted sandboxes to comb through for a completionist playthrough.

That's kinda how I feel about ME1. I was thinking about getting my Shepard ready for ME3 by starting the entire series over, but I just can't deal with ME1's gameplay and slow pace, try as I might. Luckily, I found an ME1 save with all the decisions I was looking for, so I was able to skip right into ME2 with it. Looking at the two games, it's a testament to just how good I consider the presentation and pacing of ME2 that I can still replay it without getting bored.

Edit: Although in ME1's defense, I've completed it a good six times vs. ME2's three, so that's another factor to consider.

Yeah, I'm on my last two characters and they've made it into ME2. I'm playing the game every other day or so. I think I'll finish them by the the 14th, hopefully.

I started an ME2 engineer earlier this week on Insanity. It's been so long since I've tried the class or checked up on youtube that I was getting my bum handed to me a bunch. But now I think I've worked through those problems, and the cooldown bonuses have helped once I got 'um.

Other than that I haven't had too many problems except for how I messed up, forgetting that Ash thought we were in a relationship, so I'm gonna start ME1 again to get another savefile ready for more ME2 runs.

I plan on having a bunch for ME3.

Chore? No. That said, It has become less exciting to replay ME2 again. I'm currently polishing off ME2 for the 2nd time on PC, but I have already gone through the game 8 times on my Xbox. I've seen it all and done it all so now it's more grinding than anything else.

I agree I mostly just can't go back through ME1, I already did one completionist playthrough for my perfect/or complete Shepard, but I just can't do all of that again and I don't want to do another playthrough and just ignore all of the extra stuff, it just wouldn't feel right. But like someone above me, I have played through ME1 quite a few times more than ME2, I'll probably go back through it again at some point, I just need some time apart for awhile, you know, get to know myself a little bit better, I'm not ready for that kind of commitment.

My Xbox friends actually think I have a psychological problem, given how often I am replaying ME or ME2.... Maybe, but I just can't get enough of the atmosphere and the universe.

I am currently playing through a ME1 Paragon, turned ME2 Renegade talking but Paragon big decision FemShep, only Garrus, Tali, Chakwas, and Joker will survive (ME1 only Crew.)

Nope don't have trouble getting through my playthroughs but I know when to take a break from the series from time to time. Will probably take a break when I finish up my current ME 2 run.

No, because I don't play the games enough to get burnt-out on them so badly.

I think I have ME1/ME2 burn out. Mostly because I'm not sure if all of the effort will actually be rewarded in ME3. I have a few 'complete' playthroughs (from memory) and one or two Sheps that have multiple side quests to do.

For some reason I'm especially disinterested in playing the Overlord DLC - making the player fly around a map to unlock the final area of the DLC just came off cheap IMHO.
