6 imports ready, 5 male, 1 female, all backgrounds mixed up i.e two colonists, two earthborn, two spacers, 2 war heros, 2 sole survivors, 2 ruthless, and then I have all the classes covered.

I have a question on this. Do you guys use the same character from ME1 for all play through for ME 2 play through?

Yes sir/mam, I have about 20 sheps total, and only 14 are hot and ready to go, but I can seem to play the game anymore...because..you know, 20 sheps would do that to ya (let me go on the record to saying that each shep is unique, as in, I replayed ME1 for that char).

I think I am going to finish off whoever is close to the end and delete the rest.

I don't see myself going back to 1 or 2 after playing 3, due to the super gameplay and such. I already have every scenario covered with my 14 100% sheps.

I only have this problem with some of the missions in ME1.  Either the areas are too mountainous to use the Mako properly or they just feel too similiar... reast of the game I have no problem.

OT: There is no area the MAKO cannot climb. Meself made a sport out of it: zig zagging up mountains, then enjoy the five second airtime from the fall while doing funny stunts with the boosters. Or just parking it like a pro after such a fall, next to a mineral deposit. Also. Boosters. Don't use them if not needed, they screw up the climb, but speed up the descent. Also, the maps seem to have predetermined paths in them, areas the mako can easily pass through, and they usually have a lot of mineral deposits on the way to guide you to the waypoint.

For ME 2: It helps to save up most N7 missions until AFTER the SM. The main story passes quickly, so you can decide afterwards what to complete until ME3 comes out. Gives the story a better pacing, making it less tedious.

Isn't that the best? Have you tried mid-air combat? Taking out turrets while in freefall. It work really well on the Rogue VI missions on Luna. Get up on a high ridge, overlooking the valley turrets, take a leap. Boom.

For me it's hardest to get though ME 2 - it just ends up being running though corridors killing mercs and while you run though plenty of corridors in ME 1 as well you at least get a brake from it from time to time while driving the Mako.

That's some serious dedication if you replayed both ME1 and ME2 for each character... I couldn't even do that with the 6 I have. 4 of my 6 are from different fully complete ME1 saves, the 5th I literally breezed through ME1 just doing the main missions (yeh, i'll be missing out on seeing people from side missions and the like, but i'll see all that in 4 of my saves anyway) and my 6th I couldn't even be bothered to play ME1 for again and just used the comic.

Granted ME2 was equally a bit of a drag, especially with my Adept considering I wanted most to die so didn't do the loyalty missions, but still wanted to hit max level, meaning I had to go find every single side mission there was. Those kinds of shooting galleries with next to no story were the worst, considering there's little story and not all that much to appreciate.

Yeah, about 6 or so months ago I kind of hit a wall and I could not finish any of my ME2 playthoughs, I would always end up giving up ( and eventually deleting the character ) right after Horizon. The sad thing is that the only game that I really wanted to play was ME2 so a few days later I would create a new character ( thanks to ME Genesis on the PS3 ) and begin the cycle again.

A large part of the reason why I was having trouble finish all my ME2 playthroughs was that all of my Shepards were more or less identical. Default male Shepard ( Sheperloo ), Spacer, War hero, Soldier class, Rachni Queen saved, noone romanced, Wrex Alive, Kaiden dead, Council saved, Anderson on Council. I would always end up making the same decisions throughout my ME2 playthrough so it was only a matter of time before things became repetitive and boring.

Having said that I recently started an knew Shepard and finished ME2 with her. Female Shepard, Colonist, Sole Survivor, Vanguard, Rachni Queen dead, Kaiden romanced, Wrex Alive, Ashley dead, Council saved, Udina on Council. She is by far the most renegade character I have ever created and I love her even more than I do all my male Shepards combined, she helped me re-discover my love for ME2. I never realised I could create such a very renegade character and yet still have enough Paragon points to peacefully resolve the Miranda vs Jack and Legion vs Tali confrontations. maybe I was wrong in the past, maybe there is alot more room for a morally grey Shepard.

I haven't played ME1 or ME2 since 2010, but I came to realize the saves I did have were all very similar and so would not have provided me with much of a contrast in getting through sequel #3. I don't much want to replay the earlier games myself but I WOULD like a point of comparison when the time comes, I mean the whole point of #3 is to get to the payoff for all the various decisions one made in the past. So, I figured why not give it one more run through, all I have to lose is time.

That said, I plan too have two Shepard's to make use of, with different backgrounds and slightly different decisions and quest outcomes to plug in. Most of the differences will be from ME1, as I plan to keep Ash alive this time, let the Council die (quasi-paragon ending), and make use of an Earthborn/War Hero background which I haven't utilized before. I'm not really sure just what I'll do differently in 2 yet, I might let a few squad mates die for RP purposes, something worthwhile to see what happens anyway. It should be fun, not that long left to wait really.

Indeed - my old computer died about a year ago and I lost all of my ME and ME2 playthroughs (about 6 characters through each).  Very sad about that.  Now I only have 1 character finished, and am struggling to motivate myself to do another, so at the very least I can have a male/female and paragon/renegade.  I guess I'll just be youtubing the various resolutions to different romances etc.

I did one ME1 full playthrough and it was painfull... i just put on casual and rushed through combat with a soldier.

I'm comtemplating another, but i'll rush through ignoring the god-awful sidequests, i'll probably make an exception for Conrad lol.
