I'm going to be playing all the games and reading the major books in chronological order, one thing a week, that will take me right to March 6.
Mass Effect: Revelation
Mass Effect
Mass Effect: Ascension & Mass Effect: Redemption
Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect: Retribution
MASS EFFECT 3!

No Mass Effect Galaxies? The gameplay was crap but I enjoyed it as a motion-comic.

Be that as is may, I simply don't like Jacob Taylor. At all. He has no personality at all. Maybe it's different in Galaxy, since I havn't played it, but couple Mr. Taylor with crappy gameplay and I'll just take his word for it that he met Miranda and was recruited to Cerberus while stopping a Batarian plot.
Then I'll let him valiantly take a rocket to the face on the suicide mission.

easy to get 54-56 on 1st playthru - too much completionist to do it in 2 - I think three with a shorty in the middle is actually faster. Also the charm/intimidate freebies open the max dialog options for the final run - important to me for canon.
Strange. If memory serves, I was able to get to Lvl 60 in two playthroughs, without wiping last batch of "collection" quests. AFAIR, my Sheps reached lvl 60 in their second playthrough before returning to Citadel.
Having Pinnacle station and BDtS makes that process even easier - finishing challenges in PS usually nets around 2K xp per challenge, thus allowing easy jump up to the top. Of course, no Mako kills, even during first playthrough, when xp gain difference is minimal.
Haven't played for freebies in Charm/Intimidate, though - pumped Charm in first playthrough and left it as that.
Maybe I definitely forgot something - my most "fresh" playthroughs were with BDtS and PS, and Shep got lvl 60 on Virmire (lvl 50 for very first playthrough too, BTW).

- Read 'Revelation'
- Play ME1 (100% completion)
- Read 'Ascension'
- Read 'Redemption'
- Read run-down of 'Galaxy' (don't have an iPhone)
- Play ME2 (100% completion)
- Read 'Retribution'
- Read 'Invasion'
- Read 'Deception'
then for the grand finale,
- Play ME3
:-D

agree - have gotten to lvl 60 in two with minimal mako kills, and generally completionist - dlc is a help, though I must confess PS is too much of a pain on insanity for my liking, and dumbing it down is a bore - guess its clear I don't like PS - and I simply don't play it.
the way I'm going may not be optimal, but it opens a perfect selectionist run where I can do just the missions and side quests that transfer over to ME2, with the dialogs I want while not taking too much more time than a minimalist run (8-10 hrs) - so as long as I have some time, is ok.

Can't say I disagree - on insanity it just a meat grinder farm. Feel like Diablo 2 Cow Level. Or Baal-run on 8ppl, hard to say.

I doubt it's possible to run ME1 in 10 hours, only of follow storyline with lvl 60 Shep. At least I never been able to do that, even on casual combat difficulty.
Edit: redundancy removed.

Needless to say I missed pretty much every side quest. But still.

It's definitely possible to run ME1 in less than 10 hours. I did it my first time through because I wanted to get straight to ME2

Hmm. 60-90 minutes till Specre, 60 minutes (or less) per "storyline" planet, another 60-90 for endgame. 8 hours?

I think people have dubbed Kasumi and Morinth as the worst possible ending.

Based on the assumption that she won't play a big part in ME3. Same with Morinth.

I still have the following unused combinations:
-Male Adept
-Female Soldier
-Female Engineer
-Female Infiltrator (love snipers but can't stand ME1 Infiltrators)
Also don't have any characters who romanced Garrus (ewww) or Thane
I currently have eight imported characters ready to go for Mass Effect 3.
-Samantha- Canon Paragade African-Canadian Female Vanguard, romance Kaidan/Jacob, focus is on light weaponry (pistols/smgs) but not afraid to whip out the shotgun when necessary
-Junior- Renegade Puerto Rican/Filipino Male Infiltrator, romance Ashley/Miranda, stealth-sniper focus
-Gabriel- Paragade Mexican Male Engineer, romance Jack (no ME1 romance), focus is a tech saboteur/sniper (without the snipe-training the class would be no fun at all)
-Faith- Paragon English/Portugese Female Sentinel, Liara loyal, focus is a 'Jane of all trades' though she's more of a saboteur/caster with the added benefit of tech armour
-Bobby- Paragon English/Spanish-Mexican Male Soldier, Liara/Tali, focus is a defensive battle tank (heaviest armor, fortification, anything that mitigates damage)
-Violet- Renegade Japanese Female Adept, Kaidan loyal, focus is on pure biotic destruction and anarchy (pure caster, hates to even use weapons)
-Andre- Renegade French/Danish Male Vanguard, Ashley loyal, focus is more on weaponry (shotgun) and heavy attacks, basically is more of a soldier that uses biotics and powers that boost his combat while my female Vanguard is more of a 'spellsword' or Jedi Sentinel type
-Carmello- Renegon Puerto Rican-Cuban/Turkish-Spanish/Italian (whew!) Male Sentinel, ninja-manced by Liara (didn't consumate the affair but ME2 registers him as being with her), 'cheated' on her with Jack (to get rid of his little blue stalker), also a 'Jack of all trades' except he's more combat focused and loves to use his trusty sniper rifle
