Another producer, Brent was the lead producer of Dragon Age: Origins (why tweak a game so drastically and force your producer in directions he does not want to go in [who helped create an extremely successful game that won game of the year?]), leaves before the true finishing touches of a game they're working on is about be released. Yet you tell me that he won't be angry at BioWare's direction since the acquisition from EA?
He's not angry. He doesn't hate EA. He doesn't hate Bioware.
He just dislikes the direction taken with DA2.
So how about you move along and take your hyperbole somewhere else.

What did he do?
It's kinda in the topic title...
I guess I wasn't clear. What I meant is, what was he work in Mass Effect 3? In other words, what does a producer do exactly in a game?

Sometimes, people leave their job and move on to different or better things. It's actually quite common. Sometimes, even, they leave not because they hate their current company, but that they just want to do something different, or they are moving on to something better. Not everything is some crazy conspiracy theory. Good god, BSN, get a life.

We hadn't worked together before until we went to Gamescom together to show off ME2. He was working in the press room and I was running errands for him until the public show opened. I'd fetch him coffee, water and make introductions when new people arrived for Jesse's demo. About 1/2 way through the day, he took me aside and said "Chris, so you know my name is Houston (pronounced How-stun), not Houston (pronouced Hew-stun) like the city in Texas." I apologized, but he downplayed it, forgave me and said it happens all the time. For the rest of the day, whenever he couldn't hear me,I introduced him as different Texas cities "This is Jesse Dallas, Jesse San Antonio, Jesse Austin, etc".
It is a shame to lose Jesse, but people move on. I am jealous that he gets to be somewhere warmer. Mass Effect is a better series for having him be a part of it.

Read between the lines. He may not dislike Mass Effect kind of games, but there's an obvious wording to his dislike of Dragon Age II that is polite while at the same time, very aggressive in nature towards the direction the game went.
Problem is, there's no solid evidence between the lines. It's all just empty space.

Well, this project is closing after 8 years. Time to find a new one to focus on and make a living.

My ignorance? Find me the exact words that make clear he is angry about DA2's direction, Bioware and EA?
In fact, if I recall correctly he applauded Bioware when he checked out the DA2 demo.

Bioware has lost some really good people over the past few years. That's normal for a large organization with defined projects though.
I've followed Brent since he left Bioware and I do not get the sense of anger or anything of the sort towards Bioware. At most I think it would be fair to say he was disappointed not to have a more appealing future with Bioware than the one offered by the re-envisaging of the DA franchise. He's obviously moved on with his life and occasionally mentions how much he misses the good folks he used to work with. He's a cool guy and a class act IMO.

Well at least he left after giving Mass Effect 3 his final blessing.
Good Luck Mr. Houston. I hope you enjoy your future projects and/or free time
Also, he always seemed like a rather serious guy to me. Going by interviews and such.
It must be hard to leave after so long, workplace relationships and such but then there is always the out of office interactions.

i hope its a good reason...because sometimes i just feel like their just being quitters at times. Waaa im not happy with the company blah blah. Sigh...though it is their choise i suppose, though i can still express my opinion of it and i dont really know the details.
Except he actually waited for the game to go gold before leaving. (I know it technically hasn't gone gold yet, but it's pretty much finished and should in the next few weeks)
