The Disciple

A powerful close-range shotgun. Generates a protective barrier by rapidly cycling through heat sinks.

Originally hand-crafted by asari Justicars for their own exclusive use, schematics for the Disciple shotgun were passed down to asari commandos after centuries of negotiation with their order. The Disciple uses shotgun shells packed with micro-scale sub-munitions to deal staggering amounts of close-range damage. Its eezo-powered core can also generate a mobile kinetic barrier, though this quickly depletes the heat sinks that soak up the shotgun's electrical discharge.

Well hey, I mean, to me it's as beautiful as I could bother desiring. I think it's immensely aesthetically pleasing. But obviously it isn't exactly Crysis.

The problem I have with ME3 is that it doesn't look anywhere near how it could look given what's already been accomplished by the engine.

Not to mention BioWare hasn't exactly put in a great amount of effort to differentiate the game on PC, not even things like higher res textures...

Looks pretty good to me aside from the textures on the ground.  Besides games always look better in motion than they do in screenshots and if you had those two things charging at you, you'd be far to busy trying to kill them to analyze the textures on the ground.

It could look better if they put more focus and funds on that than other things.

I'd rather the game play well than look spectacular. They combined both, so I'm extra happy, and will not judge.

They've done high rez texture packs in the past; but honestly the number of gamers with high end gaming rigs is such a small fraction of the market that developers just don't have a lot of incentive to put the effort into optimizing their games for top of the line hardware.

I'm loving that loadout interface where you select your weapons. The only thing that concerns me is that I don't see how we are able to view the numerical values of the stats such as weapon damage, accuracy, etc. The bars are a nice visual overview, but I need some cold hard data.
