this is just awesome! why do you guys think they added so much more weapons per weapon type? i think its cuz of the new multiplayer feature. they want everyone to personalize their online character as much as possible. it also adds on to the "better rpg feel" since there will be builds for specific weapons just like in ME2.
but i cant wait for the QQ'ers going "waaaaa waaaaaa call of mass effect waaaa waaaaa"
Variety is the spice of life. And your idea has merit.
I don't get a Call of Duty vibe from this. But some of the heavy/support weapons have a Duke Nuke'em/Doom feel to them (i.e. "gonzo" weapons, as I call them). Which is why I never used them in ME2 beyond trying them out for the hell of it. I usually stick with the Firestorm, M77, M100, and Collector Particle Beam weapon.
by call of mass effect i meant the way the weapon stats are laid out. i just imagined that would upset some fans here especially since they seem to complain about alotta other things like the "gearsifying of mass effect" etc.
but yeah i didnt find much use for the heavy weapons in both ME1/2. maybe only for my insanity run against heavies, but other than that my primary weapon was enough. its just awesome that they added a substantial amount of weapons from the previous game, its like theyre really trying to go out in a bang huh?

Agree 100%.
And they kept the weapons with the iconic look to them (Avenger, Vindicator, Mantis, Predator, Katana, and Scimitar). I like that. They kept the Geth Pulse Rifle, too. Another classic I love.
I'm gonna love this game, I see.

Okay, M-90 Indra is unknown sniper rifle?
Well, it hasn't been shown yet and I don't know what it looks like, so yes.
By the way, the Phaeston isn't a heavy weapon. It's an assault rifle.
The Raptor is known to be a sniper rifle, though.

It didn't show up in the list over the assault rifles in the same game session.

To me it was the total opposite: heavy weapons were all I needed with my adept because boss-like enemies are kinda immune to biotic powers.Bananables wrote...

Will the N7 weapons and special N7 preorder armor ever get put on the store to buy? I can't afford the special addition, but want those weapons.
Nope, they're exclusive to the Collector's Edition.

They still exist.
In boxes.

The arms manufactuers of the world apparently decidng to make ten different versions of every gun in existence was not, however, so good for immersion.
