It seems that guns no longer have bonuses/penalties for shields or armor.

I was hoping there would be a pistol specialized in taking down shields to perfectly complement my Adept... Oh well, the Phalanx will do.

Good. That was one of the things that sounded great on paper, but just didn't work in practice.... and presumably Bioware figured this out early on, given the number of weapons released that had Assault Rifle-like defence-penetrating characteristics.

The only mystery left is when do we unlock bonus power, not sure Pdesign can do anything about  that no matter how good he is.

avenger atm seems to be a decent fully atuomatic rifle with low recoil

It's not its another semi auto sniper. With medum damage. The Widow still has the highest single target damage rate.

Also, where did this information come from? Are these weapons available the demo, or detailed in files contained in the demo or something?

Are there any details on the way the weapons other than the numbers? For example I have seen talk of a pistol and a sniper rifle that were described in the leak that shot arcs of electricity arc projector style, and could even be charged. I believe the Indra is the sniper rifle, and the Thor is the pistol, but I'm not entirely sure. I also saw a description of a pistol that shoots shotgun blasts. I think that was the Talon.
