Ya i notice that too, eh seems like about 4 or 5 of the weapons have very simliar designs but I can get over that.

QUESTION!!

The CE exclusive weapons like the Valiant, would us cheap bastards you didn't get CE be able to get those weapons eventually? The pic update says "New, DLC" on the Valiant so is it just gonna be in a purchasable weapon pack for the non-CE players?

QUESTION 2!!

I haven't actually played the MP, do we unlock weapons based on what we have in SP? Or are they unlocked via leveling up a la CoD?

The weapons are unlocked in the MP by purchasing Equipment packs with the credits you earn. What is in the pack is random, so you will not be able to choose the guns you get.

As for the CE weapons, I see them as never being released. The ME2 CE DLC was never released, so I doubt this games will.

Probably because it is being treated like all the other dlc weapons from ME2 that are being brought over to ME3. Either you had to have owned the dlc in ME2 to have it import or all the DLC weapons from ME2 are being brought over either as part of the default weapons or as a reward for importing.

So after looking at the stats on that google doc I don't know if I'm seeing the benefit of the eagle. It has lower damage than any other pistol, it has a high rate of fire, but still lower than the predator, so what is the benefit of it?

Okay... I have a question after reading the first post: are those all the upgrades listed there? Please tell me it isn't, because if that's the case it just looks like the system is going to be running into the same linear, God-modding issues that ME2's system had.

Does anybody know?

The weapon mod system is more like ME1 than ME2 .

You choose 2 out of 5 upgrades for you gun. Every upgrade has 5 levels (the higher the better).

Edit: The last Heavy Weapon is the Hydra.

OKay, so it's not just a case of me being able to put all five of those upgrades on, all at max rank then. Good.

You can use 2 mods at the same time on your guns. (out of 5 mods)

Do the weapon mods have any drawbacks? For example, choosing an increase ammo mod, does it make your weapon heavier? Or put another way, is there any reason not to use them?

The piercing mods reduce the amount of damage you can do, but that's about it.

It's just a way for you to better customize your experience.

they do not reduce your dmg. Only when a bullet blasts through frikin cover will that bullets dmg be reduced slightly. People please do not spread wrong information like its a fact.

In essense when you shots blast through a wall or whatever the enemy was hiding behing, the shots that make it through lose some dmg. Please understand what penetration actually is and how it works.

I noticed that some mods change the color of the gun.

For example the Scimitar. If you put a Heat Sink V on it, it turn from white to black.

yup, only way your guns change color is via mods.
