About Mods: I noticted that every weapon class has one upgrade that changes the overall color of the gun. On heavy pistols and assault rifles it's the mag capacity upgrade, on shotguns it's the heat sink (more accuracy) and on SMGs it's the ultralight materials (less weight). I'm not sure on Sniper rifles. It's either the piercing mod or the concentration module (slows time when scoping). But I'm sure there is an upgrade that changes the overall color (saw a ME3 video with a incisor in grey instead of blue).

I really wish we had some direct control over the color of the guns.  Some of the alternate skins are pretty cool; but some of them are god awful.

The worst I've seen were all on the Mattock which sucks since its one of my favorite guns.  The Mattock goes from its original color to an ugly pale yellow, to an uglier bright yellow, to a pretty good looking pure white, to a butt ugly bright orange and then finally turns a werid combination of dark blue and olive green that just doesn't work at all.

There is suppose to be a weapons test range on the Citadel . . . Not sure if the Normandy has one. . .

No. The loading screen only mentions a weapon range on the Citadel.
I hope the Spectre requisition Officer is still the same turian like in ME1. Would be nice.

But I got a dilemma with the new guns. My first plan was that I'm gonna run with the revenant. But this this gun got seriously nerfed (from what I saw in the demo).
Now I'm eying the M-99 Saber. But it's a semi-automatic rifle. Perhaps I change it in the coalesced into an full auto rifle, if I don't get banned.

I never unlocked the Revenant in multiplayer, did it suck?

From my multiplayer experience I really liked the Avenger, it wasn't devestating;  but it was light and easy to use at short and medium range.   I doubt I'll have my Soldier using the Avenger; but I think the combination of an Avenger and a scoped pistol is going to be a great combo for a caster class that wants to keep a light loadout.

The most devestating weapon I unlocked in multiplayer was probably the Scimitar at close range it could lay down damage quickly and easily and each shot you landed would stagger the enemy leaving them open for a follow up shot.  And even better unlike in ME2 my Scimitar actually had a long enough range to hit targets that were more than 5 feet away.

PS:
The fact that there's multiplayer may make modding weapons considerably more challenging since they have to think about people cheating now.

Based on multiplayer demo alone, imagine the revenant in ME2, with the recoil and inaccuracy and whatnot. Half the damage output (or maybe even less) and u have the new weapon in ME3

Yuck,  I didn't particularly like the Revenant in ME2 due to its innaccuracy; but at least it could lay down the damage.

Given its weight and innaccuracy if it can't lay down the damage anymore I can't imagine anyone equipping it over an Avenger.

Lets hope it has more kick when we get our hands on the final version of the game.

From what I've heard from people who modded and got the higher levels of weapons in the demo, the higher ranks of the Revanant (especially rank X) is absolutely Godly and can be an incredibly powerful AR to use.... it's just the lower ranks of the weapon that are quite nerfed.

I dunno man, I mean to unlock a weapon to such high levels (which would no doubt cost a crapton of credits in SP) in order to make it useful does not sit well with me, especially when there are far superior weapons that are good even at low levels.

Somehow, I suspect that's gonna be true for all three of ME2's "Super-weapons" (Revanant, Widow, and Claymore).

Still, I'm gonna make upgrading the Revanant a priority for my Soldier Shepard. (Rambo, here I come) :P

The raptor and Javelin look SO COOL.

Why does the Wraith look exactly like the eviscerater, just a different color?

So for those of you who have played the demo: Each weapon has a weight, and that judges how many weapons you can carry. So in theory, could you take, say, multiple assault rifles? Or is there a limit to one of each class that you can take with you.

If demo and datasheet are any indication, Widow and Claymore still pack an absolutely massive punch ( Widow still has highest single shot damage in sniper rifle category). Both also weigh a ton. So no idea why revenant is nerfed so bad.

Also, if datasheet is accurate, then geth pulse rifle has a larger mag size than revenant (80 vs 60 i believe).

True, but then look at the fire rate and ammo capacity.
of course then there's the accuracy and damage......

the gun must be worth it if it weights that much, but I guess we'll find out.....

The Saber must be one of the battlefield 3 inspired weapons. Or at least it looks like it.

Holly quads!!! I want one!!!!!!!

Can you mod it? could you detail how the overheating work? does it mean the spare ammo constantly regenerate or is it a really ME1 system?

Yes!!!!

I'd dig through my old posts, but I predicted that they would put in an easter egg gun that had the old cooldown!

Nice! I wanted more guns to choose from compared to ME2, but BioWare has outdone themselves in this area. I especially like all the options for pistols. Is the Scorpion Defensive Ordnance Pistol the same one Kirrahe had in the demo? Because Garrus took the words right out of my mouth.
