Double standard ? What does that mean ? Some simply jumped to the conclusion they wouldn't like him, without knowing anything, now a few months after, with trailers, etc, they can like him. That's human, in real life, that's the same, you think you won't like someone and actually, he becomes one of your best friends.

Why couldn't they change their mind ?

I find that strange.  " hey remember bro', you hated him before, you must hate him now, otherwise you are dumb or hypocrite or whatever. " That sounds childish at best.

The only thing they "like" is Freddy, and frankly I'm not too sure about that. Plus the fact that "Ooh! Gametrailers showed a nice video of him! Hey everyone! Lets pretend to like this guy because he's in the lime light now!". 

Pathetic humans.

Did I play ME2 when Zaeed was announced?  Have I never seen any of the other billion TPS out there with roidragebros that are the stars of every single cliched action game out there?  The squad didn't need another human due to how small it is, and it especially didn't need Ashley mk 2.  It's bad enough that the majority of the squad is made up from some of the most boring squadmates across all series just because of the romance gushing for them.

Animations are not bad at all, i like them to be honest. Sure, they are not perfect, but my mind is still set on 2001 i'm afraid, where in BG2, for example, the only animation you got during conversations was character breathing (at best, since most of the times time would just froze). This is something that is pushing RPG forward, not by a bunch, but hey, you know what they say, baby steps.

I like it, for me glass is half full, no question about it.

There is nothing in that face.  There is nothing differentiating that from when Shepard normally talks.  He doesn't even appear to be looking at Vega.

It's KotOR which can really make you wince with the terrible facial animations.  I wonder if ME will look that bad to us in 10 years.

I assume you'd keep your eye on the opponent at least.  Rather than gazing vacantly off into the distance

No one is pretending rofl. People finally were given some decent footage on the character so some changed their minds about him. Is that so hard to grasp?

Fair point, but I honestly think that's a large part of what's causing people to think there's something off about it.

Its not that. It just bugs me because I just dislike two-faced, and dishonest people. They judge a character/person so harshly at the begining, and when they see him involved in one good thing they're all up, and suddenly acting like he's the best thing ever. 

Just annoys me, but whatever. Can't change people.

Also a fair point, Shep's face is totally wooden, eye direction is off as well.

I remember when I was following DA2 that the Devs said that facial animation is like one of the last things fully rendered, so that video's probably older and doesn't have facial animation yet.

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned the stupidness of bare knuckle sparring. They would at least be wearing wraps, or more likely sparring gloves. Both of them seem to be reasonably seasoned boxers (not surprising given their military history) so sparring without protection for either of them is out of place.
