Let's just agree to disagree and get back on topic - this isn't the place to discuss this.
So that Vega and his tight shirts, right?
You're absolutely correct. This is the wrong thread for this topic.
Its just a pet peeve of mine and I get worked up about it rather easily.

You know what would have been a really good way to subvert Cerberus? Finding out where the Illusive Man was, shooting him in the head and then just taking his resources for yourself.

Way to take a job from struggling voice actor and give it to an over-paid talentless hack, BioWare.
Which struggling VA?
Any of them. There are thousands of voice actors out there the majority of who struggle to get steady work and pay the bills. Instead of giving one of these people a job they give it to a millionaire who is without question one of the worst actors to work in Hollywood in the past twenty years.
I'm gonna be super blunt here, because it's clear you're a ****ing idiot. First off, that's not how the real world works, you either get breaks or you don't. This life isn't about deserve you clown, if you decide to partake in such a profession such as acting you must know the realistic avenues. Not everyone gets rich, not everyone becomes a star.
Secondly, and this is something that always amazes me. Last time I checked, Freddie Prinze Jr just didn't wake up one day, decided he was gonna be an actor and roles just fell at his door step.
He had to audition for roles, just like everyone else. He started in TV and moved his way up to making films. Weather you liked the films or the acting, he put time into the craft so he COULD MAKE THOSE MILLIONS.
Funny how you talk about him being a millionaire, as it's YOUR MONEY. Oh that's right it isn't, so just sit down and shut up. No one gave him anything, no gave him hands out. He's working in the business for over twenty years, one of the worst actors?! **** I'm pretty sure a lot of people would had loved to have his career.
Beyond on that, he's a successful grown man. I repeat a successful grown man. He's got a wife, two daughters. He can give them a life that he never had and Guess what? He didn't get any of that sitting on his ass worried if someone like you thought he was a crap actor.
I'm done.

I got to say this is the first time I've ever seen Shepard called a passive wimp.
In ME2 he/she most certainly is.
Miranda gives him **** and he just takes it.
Liara blows him off and he just takes it.
The council blows him off and he just takes it.
Ashley/Kaiden call him a traitor to his face and he just takes it.
Jack gives him **** over and over and he just takes it over and over.
The Illusive man uses him as a puppet for the whole game and he just takes it for the whole damned game.
This is not the sort of action I expect from the biggest badass in the galaxy.
Miranda blows him off at the point where Shepard isn't even in command at the time (which was rather iffy anyway) and she didn't necessarily trust him at all.
Liara wasn't even in his command at the time and technically shepard may not even be in the Alliance military or a Spectre at that point. He has no authority.
The Council is the ****ing council. Its like complaining about a freaking Major in the military taking **** from the President because he is working with a terrorist group.
Ashley/Kaidan aren't under his command at all and initially they see someone who was a Alliance hero now working with the enemy. I don't agree with everything they said but it is a bit understandable.
Jack is ****ing psychopath who is only willnig to join Shepard out of a life or death situation. She isn't military and has enough power to **** up the Normandy if she wanted to. The fact that she actually listens to him shows that she has some respect for Shepard. Anyone else and Jack would have left or killed them. Probably both.
It was the Illusive Man's game and Shepard at that time was going on leads TIM gave him. Shepard was working with Cerberus on his own free will and at the end basically taken billions of credits worth of Cerberus property. Yeah that's not what a puppet is.
Shepard is a badass and a great leader but he isn't Jesus and doesn't have a aura that basically tells others to get on their knees and get to work.

That's exactly the sort of attitude a veteran soldier should have and it bodes well for his character.

S/he did what the Illusive Man did because he was the only one doing anything to fight the Reapers Collectors/Reaper and had the resources to help Shepard fight them, And even then a Paragon shepard is subverting Cerberus a lot during the game.

No one knows where TIM is and I believe his space station (according to retribution) is mobile. If Shepard could find him he would. Hell the Turians ended up failing that and they had information from a top Cerberus operative. Its a good idea but with very little info on TIM's whereabouts its unlikely they could catch him.

Well, the turians came really, really close to capturing or killing him. Of course, they didn't know TIM was gonna be there.

I said I wasn't gonna rant on this anymore, please don't tempt me.
PS: Miranda knows where he is.

They were close but then again he was there to watch his subject. Normally I doubt he would be there.

Alright but I seriously doubt Miranda would always know where a mobile spacestation is. Its possible that she was just taken in a shuttle to his spacestation and not given coordinates.

I really hope FPJ's passion for the series comes across in his voicework. If it does, then Jimmy's place on the Bro Tier is sealed.

Never been in the army yourself, I presume?
Times have changed. They even ~gasp~ let women serve.
Shepard's behaviour is totally is within the norms even for present army.

Some things don't change, like the military's attention to discipline and command structure.

He's clearly parked in front of the same star for the entirity of the game and from the footage I've seen he's still sitting there in ME3.
Uggh, Clearly the only way I can end my ranting is to leave this thread. Night all, I appologize for the tangent I unleashed.

True, subordination is a cornerstone. But still, it doesn't mean that higher ranks cannot engage in friendly activities in off-time.
Actually, it makes the whole team stronger.
I don't remember the reasons why, was quite sleepy when we were encouraged to do so.

I was talking about in Retribution where the station is mobile when needed. Like I said again Miranda could have easily been taken by shuttle and not told the coordinates. Remember she only seen him in person once I doubt he told her everything about Cerberus.
