Oh just watched this and the first thing I said was "that's the guy who played Fred in the Scooby Doo movie". Though that's not the only movie I know him from that's what comes to mind since I used to love it when younger. I was surprised though and just from this featurette I have a very good feeling he will bring Vega's character to life.

Thanks for the post.
I'm still cautious about this Vega character but I think this video has tipped in his favor.
For those who are upset with the way he looks....I'll admit the face is a bit Neanderthal and should have been modeled after his rather handsome voice actor, but if every character was some pretty boy hotshot it wouldn't make the game believable.
Still, I think I'm going to like the character in the end. I'll wait and see before I make any further judgements.

Observation: This human seems to be smarter than he looks. But since I was created to be a misanthropic assassin droid, he seems to be like any other human, which are boring and only good for shooting them in the head.

This doesn't change my opinion about the character at all, but despite Freddy being in a bunch of throwaway teen movies and seeming like an awful movie actor (hell, Justin Timberlake blows him away), he was actually pretty good in 24 season 8 with a serious role. Quite suprising actually given his background history.
It also makes me wonder if he's using some of his experience with that character and transferring it to Vega.

He'll prob do OK, though.
Although, I'd rather have Michael Beattie as Mordin, but I digress...
2. It's such a relief to FINALLY have someone voicing a character who has actually played the games.
3. Vega doesn't seem too bad... maybe I'll wind up liking him as a squaddie and not get mad that I can't have Wrex or Zaeed.
And I love Zaeed's stories. He's the reason I love Hanar.
