I didn't know 99% of the characters in Super Mario were typical marines.DaJe wrote...
If I can send him to give his live for a species (not just humanity) I will maybe respect him more, but until then he is just a typical Marine like 99% of characters in games, that is not special or interesting in any way.
What part of Koopa Troopa did you not understand to be lean, mean, fighting machine, son?

I am not familar with the actor for Vega having abandoned tv or movies as with the exception of a few news channels and nonfiction channels, I have become disinterested in watching tv. I would like to add my welcome and congraduations for joining the Mass Effect voice actor members.El_Chala_Legalizado wrote...
New video on Gametrailers, this time we see more about Vega and his voice actor: Freddie Prinze Jr.

I instantly liked Vega when I heard him say "HOLY ****" in the Against All Odds video.
When I saw his robotic face, all I could think of is him wondering what emotions are and if he will ever feel one. Stiffer than a board facial animations.

Just watched the video Vega is shaping up nicely loved that little sparring session. It would be cool if they did this for all the characters in ME3.

I support Freddie Prinze Jr. as Vega! The guy guest-starred in an episode of Psych and he seems totally psyched for Mass Effect. He's aces in my book.
Same - I have done a total 180 on Vega since seeing Freddie do the interview and a bit more of Vega's dialogue.
I was all set to ignore him in my squad and everything.

Three things:
1. Freddie Prinze, Jr. as his voice?
He'll prob do OK, though.
Although, I'd rather have Michael Beattie as Mordin, but I digress...
2. It's such a relief to FINALLY have someone voicing a character who has actually played the games.
3. Vega doesn't seem too bad... maybe I'll wind up liking him as a squaddie and not get mad that I can't have Wrex or Zaeed.
Mark Meer has played the games. since Jennifer Hale has too.
Well, that would explain why his performance of Shepard improved so much from ME1 to ME2.
And I'm pretty sure I've seen at least 2-3 interviews where she said she hadn't played ME.

Doublesince Jennifer Hale has too.
The only time I ever heard of Hale playing the game was that promotional stunt that one time. I lol'd because she was choosing the "neutral" responses (no paragon or renegade) and was really bad at it. But at least she gave it a try. Hey she doesn't get paid to play the games, right?
OT: I was originally a bit nervous about FPJ doing Vega's voice, but knowing that he's a gamer who has played the games and knows what makes them great is heartening.
Exactly.

I think it's because he has to be builded up as character from ground up.
Too bad people are passing judgement on him before even getting to know the character.
