Pretty interesting vid, certainly makes Vega seem an interesting character.
Noticed a clip of Ashley in armor there too, I thought she'd been relegated to tight fitting clothes rather than actual combat armor?
Thank God, right? I hated the one-suit-everywhere, casual=combat outfits of ME2.

Wow. Freddy is a GENUINE fan, and that's great news. He's really passionate about his role.
The sparring conversation was very nicely thought out, too. Bonus points for the robot dog hanging around in the background
That's pretty cool to hear. I wonder if he's one of you guys secretly commenting on the BSN???

It'll depend on how varied the interaction with him is, but I'm really loving Bioware's decision to go "meathead" with Vega. I can't wait to hear his interactions with Joker (or Garrus, for that matter).

Nice to actually see a bit more of Vega. I liked FPJ in 24 and it's good to see someone who is a ME fan doing one of the voices

Anyone else think we'll see some COME AT ME BRO memes due to that boxing scene?
Also, Shepard has got to be holding back. I mean, this is the same cyborg marine that took on a yahg in hand-to-hand.
You know what would be cool? Having the option of letting Vega take down Shepard, stopping the fight, or taking Vega down as paragon, neutral and renegade actions.

Oh believe me they are glorious. Him and Steve (the new s/s shuttle pilot) are hilarious, and his conversations with Liara, Garrus, and Joker are great too.

He looked very comfortable in this featurette, easy in the answers and looks like he really played it.
With luck (not really much necessary) James will be better than Kaidan and Jacob.

Yeah, my cover's blown
In all seriousness, I don't think he's really that invested. But he cares about how the characters develop, where they stand in the story, etc. And he sees the value of a distinct personality in a game where you have to prioritize friendships. That and he seems pretty energetic and passionate about the role. He's got the motivation to make something out of Vega.

So you've read the script?
Are the dialogue options with him varied enough that we can treat him very differently depending on how we feel about him?

Wow those facial animations are god awful.
Yeah I noticed that too when Shepard just unblinkingly gave a blank stare as Vega attempted to hit him.
For ME4, you better start matching Uncharted's animation, Bioware.

That's what I'm thinking. One aspect of the ME games that's slid since ME1 has been the facial animations.

I'm sure the facial expressions would be different if you know they were really fighting instead of casually sparring.

He really understands what stands out about the series and about the characters. He gets the heart and soul of Mass Effect and the idea of living out an epic sci-fi novel in real time and how at the basest level, Mass Effect is about the characters and their feelings and perspectives.
BioWare should put Freddie out as the PR voice for this game. Less Mac and Casey, more Freddie (and some Seth Green would be nice, he seemed to get the series pretty well from his ME2 interview).

Funny to see how BSN users are changing their mind about this character, now that we actually know something about the guy.
Didn't you know? This is the BSN; where judgement is passed soley on hearsay and looks, instead of facts.
