Read my post again. I was referring to fanart. Fanartists aren't exactly known for adhering to a character's canonical appearance. Most of them just turn the character into whatever their ideal man (or woman) looks like for their own self-gratification. If you don't believe me, just search DeviantArt for any character who isn't known for being attractive or beautiful.

Clearly we aren't looking at the same "fanart" then. Most fanartists just want to get their rocks off when they draw their favorite character, and they won't let a character's real appearance get in the way of that. I think this is part of why Tali is so popular. Since we never see her face, salivating fanboys can simply draw her face however they like and technically stay true to canon.

Wow the last time I saw that guy was in some okay teen films from the USA. He seems pretty cool in this video though. He definitely sold the whole game quite well. Also the footage that the video showed seemed pretty cool.


Just to paraphrase, "you don't pick characters according to how they play in battle, you pick them according to whether you like them or not." Also "you get to customise your game".

I simply can't wait!!!

And yet there's no fanart of Vega where he looks like an anime pretty boy. Anyone can go to Vega's thread see it. In 99% of fanart pics, he looks just like he does in official screenshots.

Okay so I always liked Freddie Prince despite the fact that everyone I know hates him and I was stuck secretly watching those sappy awful romantic movies (and they were bloody awful but he's a good actor which puzzles me at to why he just played those roles.....?)

But now I love him, that was a great featurette and interview, dude is smart and is an ME fan from the first game... Nice!

Vega is going to be my new fave I think.

I like Freddie Prinze, old school people might remember Freddie Prinze Jr's Dad from a 70's show called Chico and the Man.

I'm no big fan of his acting work, but he's authentic hispanic enough for me, color me stoked. I like that you can spar with him, I hope that option remains available as you talk to him throughout the game.

I look forward to running a triple tank team on my soldier run with Mr. Vega as part of the group.

.....and in response to this bethseda keeps clattering the world of it's games with thousand of small objects and details.
These details make the world credible. 

BIOWARE games are on the opposite side of the spectrum.

Chracters are the world.

the relation we built with them define how we feel and remember the game, how we care about it.

The possibilty to build these relations over THREE games, in one continuos story arch, is the "new thing" that ME ,Casey Hudson and his team, have made to the gaming world.

Thank you!  This is a big reason why I prefer RPGs and video games with actual plot over open-world/sandbox stuff.

:)Let's hope Bioware keeps the faith in it's roots and develops them further

I like the idea of Vega's character since he is a stranger to Shepard. It should lead to some pretty cool roleplaying, because he might be one of the only few NPC's in the game that doesn't know Shepard well.
