It's probably just what happens when we run out of ammo and have to replace the heat sink. The guns still overheat with those, we just don't have the option of waiting for them to cool down.

I'm thinking they brought back the overheat noise just for the sake of it.

That is not an overheating noise as that is not present in ME3. Sorry.

The guns still overheated in ME2, they just developed an actual way to deal with it in the two years following ME1.

Yea, but did they beep?

Those Cerberus jerks removed the beeping from all of your weapons - but the Alliance put it back in.

Already cancelled. Not wrong of me for hoping to have a reason to reconsider it, though.

It's probably just a signal to tell you that you're out of ammo.

All in all, I'm not excited about having to scrounge more clips and being constantly on the lookout for stray ammo drops again (much prefer to focus on the enemies), but I'm glad that Bioware's at least bringing back more of the original Mass Effect look/sound/feel for ME3!

Also, am I the only one who's excited about the SR2's new atmospheric lighting? I loved the SR1, and it looks like the SR2's on track to beating it for me.

Sabotage - tech power - overheats weapon rendering it inoperable for a few seconds - makes the "bib bib" noise.

Why are thermal clips being called "ammo" in the game now? Bioware, you're that desperate for that mindless shooter pew-pew crowd?

Well, what else would you call it? It's ammunition for the guns?!

Or maybe enemies can overheat your weapon, forcing you to change heat sinks and costing you ammo.

THAT my friend would be EPIC!

I'd love to see that! :o

I think the better question is why are you still hanging around forums for a company you don't like, *****ing about a game you're not buying?
