So, the character...descreases or increases the mass in othe other charcters nervous system so they ..no longer get as.. tired of using their biotic offensive powers...

No. that does not fly.

I was thinking more along the lines of it being an energy field around the squad that amplifies the powers.  Altering the environmental conditions could make the powers easier to use as well as more powerful kind of like riding a bike down a hill,  you can go faster and having gravity working for you makes it easier as well.

Well, biotics allows for detailed mass manipulation (and telekinetics for some reason) through generation of dark energy. So I guess making targets "lighter" allows for them being more vunerable to force, such as pull, lift, sinularity etc. but also impact from weapons fire (like shotguns etc).

Btw, Should not singularity be a very dangerous power? I mean if you touch the event-horizon, you should get sucked in an crushed to a subatomic size. :)

One point I think we don't have enough information about is that Bioware mentioned that there would be MORE biotic combination effects like Warpbomb.

So, until we know exactly what those combos ARE and DO, it's too early to tell how good or bad the adept is IMO.

throw will explode like a poor mans warp. thats about it.

i mean what kind of beneficial comboing is there going to be? as soon as i can use one biotic ability on an unprotected enemy, im not gong to need to do a combo. the way i see it the only beneficial part of comboing is going to be in the "enemy protections" department of comboing. so if i see an group of protected enemies, throw singularity on them, then follow up by throw or shockwave to casue more then another half second tagger, then thats worth it. but if im not causeing more CC on protected enemies, then comboing is worthless to me. in ME2 enemies barely stay alive long enough to do comboing as is.

comboing isnt a reason to play the adept tho. anyone can combo, just bring the right squadmates. ive seen that argument thrown at me so many time, i finally can throw it back. adepts cant do anything more then a soldier with stasis can do. am i wrong about that??? as we all know squadmates are basiacally used as extensions of shepards abilities. so bringing liara with a soldier shepard makes the soldier have all the best biotics available for use. then on the other hand playing an adept shepard (with a soldier) DOESNT give the best biotics available, not even with the bonus power(and dont forget soldier squadmate wont be as awesome as soldier-shepard). so what benefit is adept shepard gaining, from being an adept? bioware doesnt see a problem with that?

liara > adept shepard, and its not even close.

The DLC squaddie is rumored to have a power kind of like that called Biotic Focus.  Seems like it would have been a good fit for the Adept.  Here's the leaked evolution tree for it (Subject to Change).

Biotic Focus   (Biotic Focus will reset the cooldowns on offensive powers for all squad members.)

2nd Rank
Recharge Speed   Increases the recharge speed of Biotic Focus by x%

3rd Rank
Damage   The next offensive power used will have its damage boosted by x%

4th Rank
Damage/Force   The next offensive power used will have its damage boosted by x% and its force boosted by x%
OR
Damage/Radius
The next offensive power used will have its damage boosted by x% and its impact radius boosted by x%

5th Rank
Damage/Force Buff   Power damage is increased by x% and force increased by x% for x seconds.
OR
Duration/Radius Buff   Power duration increased by x% and impact radius increased by x% for x seconds.

6th Rank
Recharge Speed Buff   Power recharge speed increased by x% for x seconds.
OR
Recharge Speed   Increases the recharge speed of Biotic Focus by x%

Well, seems like adept Shepard really is the team's worst Adept.

I wonder what Bioware is thinking. Adept shep really needs an unique class power signifing biotic mastery.

Bumping for good measure.

As long as Shepard adept has (the potential for) the lowest biotic cooldowns, the longest durations, the most biotic power - compared to vanguard, sentinel, or any squadmember, then it's ok. It would be silly if this is not the case.

I hope for the right abilities to enjoy playing the adept as a cqc biotic, without having to be a vanguard.
