One point I think we don't have enough information about is that Bioware mentioned that there would be MORE biotic combination effects like Warpbomb.
So, until we know exactly what those combos ARE and DO, it's too early to tell how good or bad the adept is IMO.
throw will explode like a poor mans warp. thats about it.
i mean what kind of beneficial comboing is there going to be? as soon as i can use one biotic ability on an unprotected enemy, im not gong to need to do a combo. the way i see it the only beneficial part of comboing is going to be in the "enemy protections" department of comboing. so if i see an group of protected enemies, throw singularity on them, then follow up by throw or shockwave to casue more then another half second tagger, then thats worth it. but if im not causeing more CC on protected enemies, then comboing is worthless to me. in ME2 enemies barely stay alive long enough to do comboing as is.
comboing isnt a reason to play the adept tho. anyone can combo, just bring the right squadmates. ive seen that argument thrown at me so many time, i finally can throw it back. adepts cant do anything more then a soldier with stasis can do. am i wrong about that??? as we all know squadmates are basiacally used as extensions of shepards abilities. so bringing liara with a soldier shepard makes the soldier have all the best biotics available for use. then on the other hand playing an adept shepard (with a soldier) DOESNT give the best biotics available, not even with the bonus power(and dont forget soldier squadmate wont be as awesome as soldier-shepard). so what benefit is adept shepard gaining, from being an adept? bioware doesnt see a problem with that?
liara > adept shepard, and its not even close.
