2. That's a flat out lie. You clearly haven't played on a next to perfect gaming computer because almost every single game now days is better.. FYI console games hardware is 6 years old!! How can that compete with a brand new computer parts in terms of performance.
Now hold on just a sec. I love my gaming rig and all, but you aren't telling the whole story.
First off, most companies nowadays get more profits off of the console versions. Therefore, they make a game primarily for consoles, and secondarily for PCs. For this reason, they upscale the console version (minor things like anti-aliasing, maybe better textures, that sort of stuff) rather than really taking advantage of the PC's superior hardware. Even though gaming rigs can boast some amazing graphics, very few games, if any, take advantage of it. And cross-platform releases really never do.
In addition to that, even though consoles are on 6-7 year old hardware, they also benefit from allowing developers to be closer to the hardware in question. Yes, an Xbox only has 512mb of memory, but a game doesn't need nearly as much memory to run the same things a PC needs 3-4GB to run. Consoles benefit from working on the same hardware at all times, giving developers the exact peramiters around which to make their game, and it benefits customers because they don't have to worry about driver compatability, hardware compatability or non-gaming related issues, such as a virus or OS issue.
Anyway, yes gaming rigs are better, but they come with their fair share of problems as well due to the fact that more people own consoles than they do gaming rigs. ME3
could look far better on a PC, but if ME2 is any judge, it won't really look all that different. I wish more companies gave me stuff that would look far and away better on my rig, but that's rarely the case. The differences are fairly minor most times.
Plus, I don't think ME3 is even going to take advantage of DX11. If so, that's a major issue if you're looking for a superior graphical experience to consoles.
