 Hi everyone, I know I’m coming in late on this game, Dragon Age: Origins, for two reasons:
one: I didn’t think I would like it, and
two: I caught the game on sale (the ultimate edition) for very cheap, so I said what the heck.

Much to my surprise, I love it.  I’d never played a tactics based rpg before and I didn’t know how awesome it would turn out to be.  I really, really love DAO!  This is a game I will play again and again for many years to come.

Catching it cheap was just lucky timing I think.  But since the game is two years old, I’ve had a hard time getting answers to my posts on the various forums I’m a member of.  I like to ask a lot of questions so I can learn from others, so forgive me if I’ve been a noobish pain in the arse for asking so many questions.  There’s so much to learn.  But thank you to those of you who have helped me along the way, I appreciate your time and help.

Now to my dilemma, which I posting here by faith, because I don’t know if anyone will ever
answer it, but here goes:

It concerns my romance with Leliana.  I made the mistake of giving her too many gifts too early in the game and at only level 10 she already has +100 approval of me, but her feelings are listed as warm.  Interestingly, Alistair has only +75 approval of me and we’ve already kissed and slept together. 

When it comes to Leliana, I’ve made it to the point in dialogue where she tells me my hair is pretty, then after that when we returned to camp she told me about Marjorlaine, shortly after that we met the assassins in the woods and got the
Leliana’s Past quest finally.  We are heading to deal with Marj. And I’m really hoping that after we finish the quest
and go back to camp the other romance options open up, otherwise I guess I’m screwed – or unscrewed – depending how you look at it.  ; )

 

I would start the game all over again to get the romance right with Leliana as she is the
only one I wanted to be with, in a loving context.  But it would be nice if I could reach that
goal now.  I’m certainly worked hard for it.  Anyone have any thoughts on this issue?

I think it should all work out OK once you complete the Marjolaine quest.

I'm so happy! I've good news concerning my post. After I did the Marjolain quest for Leliana and returned to camp, the dialogue about how she felt after killing her old friend, and also a further dialogue opened up about how much she cares for me, then my approval meter said love! The last bit of dialogue she said to me was the "we will speak about this again later. I promise." So, no bed yet, but I think it's close! : )
