Or it's not that deep, and expressing disappointment is simply a lament and wish that Bioware had gone a different way and at least taken more care in producing the sequel. Every discussion on Dragon Age anywhere on the net now devolves into feuding, usually petty and childish feuding. It's depressing for something that is supposed to be fun. And the people who used to have something in common no longer do. I'm talking about people I actually care about, not you.Upsettingshorts wrote...
No, I'm demonstrating why the question is stupid.
The only reason anyone could want to ban an RPG from existence would be to eliminate its influence on the genre. Simply removing a game or franchise does nothing further beyond deprive those who enjoyed it from experiencing it, so unless spite and malice are the underlying motivations, I'm going to go with elimination of genre influence as the only justifiable motivation to take such a position, even rhetorically.
Also how Bioware handled the whole franchise since the original was released reflects poorly on them as a developer IMO. Rushing out a cash grab to cynically take advantage of the fans of the original must have seemed like a good idea at the time, but it's fair to wish they had chosen a better approach.
It's not the end of the world- I really don't care anymore. But DA2 fits the bill of the OP's question and is the only game I'd put in that category.
