Ok, so I don't know if a topic for this has been made yet, but I was watching a video interview with Freddie Prince Jr who plays James Vega in ME3, and look who shows up in the trailer having a meeting of sorts with Shepard.
The Rachni Queen! And boy has she gotten big.

Having the Rachni survive would make things very interesting after the reaper war.
Especially if the Krogan cure the Genophage. It could be a bloody free for all.
And Batarians and Humans.
Oh dear.
OH DEAR OH DEAR.
Wouldn't that be a kick to the teeth. You save the galaxy from the Reapers, and there's galacitc war anyways. ugh.
After they've been fighting and dieing together against a common enemy as seemingly indomitable as the reapers, I'd be very surprised if they all went straight back to being worst enemies after the victory party.

Freddy Prince Jr. is voicing Vega? The dude who played Freddie in the Scooby-Doo movies?
From what I hear he did great in 24.

In ME2, when the Rachni Queen contacts you through that Asari in Illium, she tells you that the previous Rachni Queen (the current one's mother) was indocrinated by the reapers resulting in them trying to wipe out the galaxy of life resulting in the Krogan demolishing them in the Rachni Wars.ParagonForLife wrote...
The Rachni queen cant be indocrinated and as for being turned into a husk thats almost an impossibility seeing as the queen will and as as we can see underground and will be surrounded by (millions) of rachni seeing as the queen is the most important thing to a colony I doubt they will get close to her also the eyes dont seem blue but black and we dont know anything about rachni queens as she was young when you first found her its possible its what a mature queen looks like

Until the game is out, until these things are fully confirmed by Bioware, then why get so worked up.
It seems story wise, very stupid to make the character/player make such a serious decision about genocide, only to have it bite you in the butt, as if genocide is an answer to all things we don't agree with or like. I have faith in Bioware that there are factors that can make or keep the queen from being indoctrinated, if at all. Seems more likely that the problem would be getting the other races, let alone the krogan to work with the rachni.
I for one am still happy with my decision to save the queen multiple multiple times and look forward to possibilities and different outcomes.

I was prepared for this possible outcome. Ally or Enemy, nothying is gonna stop me from defeating the Reapers. NOT EVEN the RachniLuc0s wrote...

Reminds me of the scene with the crawler in Gears of War 1. I smell "boss fight" all over that screenshot.
Prepare yourselves Paragons, because this boss fight is not gonna be easy!

Having the Rachni work against me on the diplomatic table, was what I was hoping for. If they really do make her/them be reindoctrinated feels kind of cheap to me.
As for Rachni Husk. Are we sure that they are Rachni.
Because I saw husks of those flying things (Harvesters) that drop Klixen (the other alien bugs), so I'm sure there's going to be Klixen husks. Could be easy to confuse the two.

If the rachni queen suddenly became evil all of a sudden, there better be a good explanation for ruining the Paragon-way to earn the rachnis as allies. If not, then the Reapers strikes the Rachni hard.
I gave a few ideas earlier of reason for this earlier in the thread

I am glad I've spared her. She could become a useful ally. In Mass Effect 2, the Asari you met on Illium, says the Rachni are not violent by nature. It was the Reapers who indoctrinate them to cause a full scale galactic war.
That, lol.
Obviously(maybe not) Sovereign or the collectors found out something about the reclusive rachni that could threaten the old machines, and sought to rid the Milky Way of all free-willed rachni.
I wouldn't say that the rachni that fought in the wars were indoctrinated, but maybe gently manipulated over the years(Soverign knows how to sing, obviously), thus the "sour songs" during the war, as mentioned by the rachni queen. Look how easy it is to start World War III in the movies. Who's to say the generally "peace-loving" rachni can't be coerced to fight a war that'll ultimately lead to their 'extinction'?
Regardless. I am quite satisfied with the choices in mass effect so far. Like, don't be so focused on the consequential. A refined universe and story experience matters too. Besides, this choice in ME1 probably determines to a great extent the rachni's loyalty, or even if the rachni are friendly or with the reapers. Just because both choices cant change the fact that there's going to be a rachni queen in ME3 doesnt make the two outcomes similar. I for one look forward to the "wildly diverging conclusions at the end of this trilogy":D

yea same If the choices I made come back to haunt me well then ill take care of them but honestly if you didnt trust anyone you whould have died in mass effect 1seirhart wrote...
I hope none of my characters made a mistake with the Racni queen saving, I believe that every species deserves a second chance no matter what they did a 1,000 years ago or so including the Krogan. All my shepards told Mordin that what they did to the krogan's was wrong and to cure them, though knowing my luck the decision to spare them could come to haunt shepard in the end, but shepard will deal with that when it comes up.

Yes I agree with this if you don't trust anyone or anything then you won't last long, see for me at least My shepards they are more charming/diplomatic (paragon) they'd rather talk their way out of conflict but if they can't then they will defend themselves with force if they have to and they will regret it.

Actualy from what I've heard is that if you kill her in ME1, she will be replaced by another Rachni, who isn't as cool as queen ones. So... Prepare Renegades, this boss fight isn't going to be easy.
