The less painted characters are the better. Unless asari for some outlandish reason have pink pigmentation on their facial lips (as we all know by now the lower parts are azure) I prefer them in that colour. In LOTSB liaras "unpainted?" lips were of a dark azure tint.

Liara's lips have always matched her freckles, so I have to assume they were always natural. And considering the situations we meet her in, she's more likely to be heavily made up when working in an office in snooty Ilium than on a lonely dig site on the fringes of civilisation.

We all know the ME series are ful of design changes so when it comes to looks, I guess the main question is what makes more sense, lira having pink pigmentation or azure pigmentation.

of all the "unique" looks Bioware has tried to shove down our throat (I am looking at you 3 Jack, Samara and Miranda) Liara is by far the best combination of sensibility and style

Regardless, if imagine that asari tentacles has to do something with squids (I'm just saying, no offence), why can't they have partial mimicry or like salmon, who change their external look during reproduction cycle? Like our blushing, but much more advanced. Who knows. Well, outside of Bioware, I mean.

In all seriousness, she looks fine from a character standpoint, and since from my eenymeenyminymo I chose Tali to Romance fully, her primary use is to fire blue stuff from her arms and make cerberus pay for being babies about their precious reaper.

And of course help me embrace eternity.

I'd like her new look even more if they had given her something other an a glass mask on her face! People are wearing full head enclosures and she's sporting around in an oxygen mask like she's the Galaxy Queen and has no need of such things.. Biotic/kinect field explanations are just bunk. It's fine for ships but not people. Put on a damn helmet! Or if she is going with the glass look, at least make it cover her whole head.

She's an alien. Of course her skin can survive exposure to hazard environments.
