Game crashes every time I hit the "esc" key to bring up the in-game menu. Only worked properly once. Have tried everything I can think of (adjusting video settings and reinstalling). Only requirement my computer doesn't meet is the graphics card requirement, because my laptop has a graphics chip. However, the specifications of the chip exceed the minimum graphics card requirements (pixel shader version and all that).

Anyone know what to do?

Edit: I'm not sure of the brand of the video chip, but I'm pretty sure it's Intel. Read through the forums and saw that a lot of people had to switch back to old intel drivers to solve the problem I'm having. Also noticed a lot of hate on intel. lol

Edit 2: Yeah, I have no clue how to get drivers for my graphics, old or new (other than automatic updating, which only installs the latest drivers anyways).  I checked what exactly I have, it's Intel HD Graphics. Despite being unsupported, it's attributes meet the requirements (VRAM 1.7GB, Pixel and Vertex Shader v4.1)...

Edit 3: Switching to an older graphics card driver solved the problem. Game runs fine with all the graphics turned down (no noticeable lag except in really graphically intense cutscenes, and even then the fps drop is still barely noticeable), and still looks pretty damn good. All else aside, I'm glad this game runs on my laptop. I know desktops are far superior for gaming, but I need the portability that a laptop offers and simply don't have the funds available to finance both a desktop and a laptop (nor the funds to purchase a good gaming laptop)...

As it has ZERO onboard VRAM, and is specifically NAMED as being junk by the developers, accept the fact you wasted your money buying the game.

Gee thanks for the help. Not sure why it would have trouble opening the menu when it runs the game perfectly fine when I'm doing literally anything else, but whatever.

Was a fun game anyways. Played it on my friends xbox 360. Was hoping to go through it again a few times, but I guess not...

The average laptop is not intended for gaming. It has inadequate cooling, low quality image rendering, and comparatively slow animation rates.

Well like I said it ran everything else just fine. I wouldn't think that opening a menu would be enough to push the graphics from "running fine" to "game crashing", but then again I don't design games.

Not sure if it matters, but it has an i7 cpu as well...
