I don't really think Fairy Dance is that much worse than Aincrad, and Aincrad isn't the best thing ever either. The show overall is good if you ignore all the parts that are bad. But if you don't, it's so, so, so annoying hearing you whine about it every week or every time the show comes up in conversation...

Can we at least agree that the very first SAO season, the Aincrad arc (episodes 1-14) is worthy giving it a try, or are people seriously judging the entirety of the series on the Fairy Dance arc?

I haven't watched SAO nor do I plan to (at least right now) but really how many people can go into a show planning to only watch half of it? Seems like a pretty big barrier in and of itself. Especially when Log Horizon seems to be a similar and better show (though I haven't watched it either but plan to at some point).
