You said I ignored the part about parodies, which I didn't. All I said was that your comparison to endings was a bad example. In the last sentence of that post I granted that parodies and dubs and whatever else may have an effect on you still, just not that your reasoning by way of comparison was valid. But you've already admitted your lack of reasoning.

 

I started out by saying that PMMM was perfect and that I didn't want anything ruining it. I think I was pretty upfront about my lack of reasoning, hence the frustration.

 

The ending example was given to show that standards in which something can be judged differ, and how other peoples feelings regarding one point won't effect my own, not as direct comparison. I mean I could take the worst dub I've ever seen (Card Captors) and the impact it had on my view of the original work is not nearly as much as the way an ending can effect my opinion of a work, so as a direct comparison I completely agree that they don't match, which is why I brought the example up immediately after saying it was just preference.
