Both are great, but YnS fearlessly thrusts forward to explores areas that OreImo only ever mildly hints at, if you get what I'm saying.

Because it really is a great show.

 

You should pick up Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis. It's from the same director as T&B and has some of the best animation/production values and characters I've seen in a while. It often feels like a feature film broken up into smaller parts.

So halfway through Bebop and it's finally getting as good as I've been told it was. It needed some time to get all the things going but the last few episodes have all been kinda amazing. That and the characters have been given time enough to develop and get to know each other enough to have some kind of relationship. That and Ed in the last episode finally got to do something entertaining. Give me more Ed!

I have already watched Toradora and Sakurasou.

 

I might give SAO (at least the first 14 episodes) a watch. I do know a little bit about Angel beats and I have heard similar complaints in the past but it is a Key anime so I'll probably also give it a watch after Clanad. 

 

I don't know a lot about Eden of the east though. I'll probably check a summary about it and see of how many episodes it contists.

 

I'll still have a lot of anime to go through. I still need to finish at least two Kara No kyoukai movies, watch the Madoka Rebellion movie, catch up on the second season of chaika, also watch Nozaki-kun and I should really get around watching Akame Ga Kill and Amagi Brilliant Park.

 

That being said, thanks for the reccomandations  .

Angel Beats! is definitely worth it, um, I've heard great things about Clannad, I still need to sit down and watch it, you might watch Angel Beats! first because I've heard that Clannad is superior. 

 

Eden of the East is pretty short, something around 10-13 episodes and 2 movies to wrap it up. 

 

Nozaki-kun was great fun, I enjoyed it as did Mr. No Touch. I feel like it might get a second season, but it ended strong enough to not need one. 

 

7. Spice and Wolf.  I've had my head up my butt today because I have a headache (hey, maybe that's the cause) and Spice and Wolf completely slipped my mind and I am so ashamed that it did. Spice and Wolf is a great show that deals with a peddler and a god in a medieval setting, in a nutshell it is about economics. I really adore it, it's my second favorite anime. The thing that sucks is it's finished, but it's not and what I mean is they ended it on a cliffhanger because they meant to pick it back up, but for whatever reason five or six years have passed without a 3rd season. It is still a great ride and one worth taking.

Had mixed feelings about this particular episode. 

 

The fight scenes were solid and enjoyable as always and points to the show for finally giving some proper screen time for Lubbock utilizing his Arms in a direct confrontation (and glad that he acted smart on having them both killed when he explained his moves. Was afraid for a second the show would go all Bleach like with its fight scene). As uncomfortable as it was, I am glad over the fact that Esdeath took her time to dissect Chelsea's body in an attempt to get anything on Night Raid. While it is minor in its moment, it is important to show that she is going to different lengths when it comes to Night Raid and not solely relying on directly tracking them down and ignoring all other options. Speaking of Chelsea, going to give credit to the show how it handled the events of the previous episode. It was subtle in its approach; touching upon what it needed to do without delving into needless mourning (or similar) just for the sake of provoking emotions from the viewer. It is also refreshing when one compares the previous episodes and how it handled the aftermath of character deaths and how they have reflected upon Tatsumi and how it has gradually changed.

I especially liked the parallel view on the topic on the 'mentality to move on'  between Tatsumi and Kurome. Tatsumi represented a state of continuing on a psychical level--that nothing will help or change by mourning and has to push himself to fight for their goal, while Kurome is fighting on a physical level--her body was severely weakened and she has to find the strength to keep on fighting. It is small, but I enjoy things like these.

 

Speaking of Tatsumi, he is gradually growing into a rather capable character. His portrayal and  development has been coherent in its build up, taking into consideration every major and minor aspect that has taken place during the story and how it has both directly and indirectly affected him. He is not simply evolving psychically but mentally as well, which is something that tends to be lacking in shonen series. I am glad this has been taken into account and was not something I would expect (especially how well it has established on 18 episodes). 

 

As for the stuff I didn't like; the continuous dichotomous representation of the Empire and its factions. It is rather jarring that the show can give a capable representation of two opposing factions (Jaegar and Night Raid), but fails when it comes to everything outside of its circle. Furthermore, considering that the show has barely touched upon the Revolutionary Army and its workings as an opposition is a flaw that I find and hopefully will be improved upon. Additionally, the whole usage of the Demons was stupid. The show adds something rather significant when it comes to Imperial Arms users and that they aren't untouchable by non users, and doesn't execute on the premise it builds upon at all. They were simply a filler opposing group, who were poorly designed (both characteristically and aesthetically) and are ultimately full of sh*t. I hope this is something the show stays away from in the future.

If so, I'm cool with it. Thankfully the harem aspect has been very low (to the point I would hardly consider it one) and if the show decides to follow a romance path then I am all up for it, if it is well written and serves an underlying purpose. Not a fan of romances in general that simply exist to serve as a way to instigate feelings.
