It's amazing was good writing does and how it affects our opinions on genocidal maniacs.

What I love about him is he does have his own code of honor(as we see with Pride) and while a cold hearted bastard, he shows some good depth too.

What I love about him is he does have his own code of honor(as we see with Pride) and while a cold hearted bastard, he shows some good depth too.

As well as full-on admitting he's the way he is and doesn't try to justify the slaughter of thousands with BS logic or warped justice. He enjoys what he does and accepts it.

It's ok, I've learned it's better for everyone for me to just keep my PMMM gushing and silliness directed at Ani instead, I'm lucky she's willing to put up with my gushing and derpiness as much as she does.

So what's the best dubs you've all heard versus the worst? I'd have to say Baccano is the best I've heard, and Cardcaptors is the worst imo.

Wolf's Rain dub is great I guess (yeah sim it's Bones too). With all the power of Steve Blum, Johnny Yong Bosch and Crispin Freeman. But most dubs people find bad I find at least adequate, except a few that are comically bad and still entertaining for that reason like Big Green's DBZ.

But now geth is going to ban us for talking about non-4kids dubs.

My issue with the Cardcaptors dub is admittedly more due to changes then the voices themselves, though I do remember a few voices in that were a bit cringe worthy as well, which kind of touches on another potential issue with dubs beyond actually having bad VA's which is changes to the source material (though it's not nearly as bad now as what I remember) I've been told the Elfen Lied dub is especially bad, though I never did get around to watching it myself.

The nice thing about Baccano is that it sort of fit better with the setting as apposed to having everyone from an American setting with a Japanese accent, and from what I understand they put a great deal of effort into the casting.

Ladd Russo's VA in particular just really managed to capture the character so well that I can't help but think of him as the main voice even though I heard the Japanese version first.
