I thought Accel world was basically just as entertaining as SAO overall, so I guess there's that.

 

Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya was pretty cool, way better than the TV series IMO. Everything else I can of I'm sure most everyone has already seen.

 

There's also Baka to test.

He can trace a crappy version of excalibur that technically does the same thing but it would probably destroy his body. He even mentions this in his route.

The thing is, Gil is an OP character to the max and if we are going on the idea that he is serious he would probably pull out some shield out of his gate of babylon and put that up while he is setting up EA.

I'm not making this **** up btw. Nasu said himself that Gil has some sort of counter to every thing in his gate, it's quite ridiculous really.

 

But Saber can take him on because of power of plot induced invincibility?

Now I can properly delve into and explore this contemplative narrative which features a strong thematic experience, riveting characters with engrossing character designs and visuals, along with enthralling musical set pieces.

Still though, what you described is pretty accurate for the VN. It's pretty darn great, and I am sure you will enjoy it for plenty of reasons. Don't recall how Fate route ended though and if it was the same as in the anime, but if it continues I'd recommend stopping there.

Naturally I will be following its developments quite intently, since I am curious over certain specific aspects that I want to explore further and which hopefully gets a stronger focus in the narrative, among other things.

Don't expect too much though.

 

The Fate route in the VN is without a doubt better than what DEEN made but it's still the worst route. It still has some great moments here and there of course (mostly in the last days of the route).

From what I've gathered the Fate route's main focus is worldbuilding, which is a factor I am currently interested in to explore further. The show leaves a lot to be desired, I've found.

In that case there is no probklem. Fate is the route that introduces everything.

 

The flowchart shows which choices lead to bad ends, how to get points with certain heroines, that kind of stuff. I don't actually recommend using it but I was curious if you were going in 100% blind. 

 

Let's just say there are some really stupid choices that lead to bad ends in that game.
