I dont like the japanese voice actors because to me they tend to be over-emotional and nasally. English voice actors tend to have more method in their performance than being whiny..

English Erens roar has no weight, it's too high pitched. Doesn't sound like some titans are gonna get 200 pounds of ass kicking stomped into them. Sounds like my 5 year old brother having a temper tantrum.

 

That's why I said, if you're going to have a big monstrous, powerful roar, why not have it be Marvels go to guy for Hulk since 2008?

Not like Funimation couldn't afford him.

From my PoV its the JAPANESE version that sounds "Tantrumy". The voice actors in the japanese version sound so...Mediocre. Like theyre copying a trope for voice overs, while the English version sound like theyre trying to FIND the voice of the character.
