"Let that child alone" is a pretty based dub line. And who can forget other gems like, "It's Big Green!" and "Now you've will."
That's the Big Green Dub.
Which is amazing in other ways.
The ocean dub is where the original "OVER 9000!" came from.

I would?
You know you would. Though I suppose your sadist skills may not transfer onto the battlefield.
I dont understand how you guys can stand the japanese voice over of an anime. Is it because you actually enjoy that noise?
The main factor lies in localization, I'd say. Saying that I dislike all Japanese voice-overs would damage my integrity as a lover of cinema and entertainment mediums in general and it would also be stretching it a bit. Couldn't picture La V'die Adele, Pan's Labyrinth, or any foreign film dubbed since I tend to love 'em, because that's where the most creativity sprawls in film, and certain cultural factors and important underlying meanings to the narrative will be lost in translation a lot -- Couldn't imagine The Simpsons dubbed either, but in regards to Japanese animation, it's a mixed boat I think. I've generally always been fond of the English language since I was a child, always imitated voices in English, accents and such after countless viewing of the Simpsons and old Eddie Murphy stand-up. The most anime I've watched have always been ones where the dubs are so incredibly solid that I couldn't imagine watching it any other way, anyway, but there's a few where I feel the Japanese voices add a neat edge to it that the alternative couldn't.
Like, in regards to Miyazaki I feel it would most of the time be a disfavor to him as a film-maker to watch his works dubbed, but then again I always preferred most Disney movies in my own language as I was younger. There was a certain charm to them in my own language I couldn't quite capture in the same way with the originals, like say Toy Story or the Lion King. Christian Bale's voice acting was enough to win me over with the dub of Howl's Moving Castle, whereas Chihori & the Witches/Spirited Away was preferable in Japanese. So there, anyway.

What do you mean? Gravy would be using Noire as a club. Like this.

The perfect weapon.

That speech though. The authority she projects in her voice. That music. That heel click.
I think I'm going to combine his two names and call him Geth Rider, it sounds dirty or professional...
I would change it to that but I can't seem to find a good Kamen Rider Drive avatar.
And I am too lazy to make one.

Bruh... the Ocean dub is referred to as the Big Green Dub. It was recorded at Ocean Studios. I don't know what you think I'm talking about but you're not correcting me on anything I've said.

Oh sh*t! That's the same studio that dubbed the lines I referenced! ![]()

Westwood and AB Groupe decided not to produce these dubs in Canada or license the rights to previous dubs of the movies; instead took a notoriously cheap route and had these dubs recorded in an unknown foreign country. These dubs are notorious for having bad voice acting and strange character nomenclature, for example Krillin is named Clearin, Bulma is named Blooma, and any instance of the word "Saiyan" is replaced with "warrior". The scripts were based upon AB Groupe's French dubs of the films. These dubs have been nicknamed the "Big Green" dub, because Piccolo's name in these dubs was in fact "Big Green."

Checked some Wiki entires. You are right to some degree.
However. I was still referring to a different dub by the same people.
As YTV didn't allow the Big Green Dub to be broadcast. Nor were they recorded in Canada at Ocean Productions in Vancover.
They were done by Westwood Media and AB groupe in some other country.
Same studio, but not the same dub evidently. Dragonball wiki would never lie.
Oh there you go. Thanks Puddi.
I hope Mika dies this ^Thursday so puddi gets a sad (evil laugh*
I really wish the Big Green dub was the dub we all grew up on.
