Got me watching the conclusion to the Cell saga again now.. I swear this is still like one of the most epic conclusions to a fight ever. I remember being like 14 and nearly soiling myself watching this because of how amazing it was.

 

And dat dragon theme playing on in the background was freaking perfect.

And then it became a super power battle shounen. Imho this plot development was the reason AoT stop being enjoyable for me. All the terror and suspense started getting sucked out of the story because they had a fesible way to fight back that was more than effective, among other things. I still consider the first episode one of the best intro episodes I've ever seen though.

Cant argue there, i really need to get around Clannad one of these days.

 

For starters try FMA/BrotherHood, Garden of Sinners, Wolfs Rain, Juuni Kouki, Dururara, Darker than Black and Baccano if your really looking. There are alot of anime better AOT.
