The only thing that Sim has in common with Apples is that he is a nut and therefore he belongs in a tree. So he'd probably like them apples quite a bit.

That makes me feel old for some reason. My avatar mask just cracked and got wrinkles, that's how old I feel right now. I used to browse fora where people would call you a newbie if you posted a post count party until you got to 10k posts.

I'm only two episodes in to Clannad, but I think I have it figured out

The girl is the ghost that the students talk about. I think this because I've never seen anyone else interact with her and the main character never interacts with her in front of other characters other than her parents, but actually I feel like her parents aren't her parents, but her father and sister, this is supported by the main character wondering if the one girl is her sister or mother. So during the family scene, everyone thinks he is interacting with the dead girl's sister, when he is actually interacting with the ghost.
