Yeah I agree. The one thing it has going for it in the later episodes at least is it does a good job showing the circular nature of violence.

New Akame chapter is out.
Looks like another backstory from the comments.
And it's 64 pages long.
As for Akane's design. I think it's intentional. She's innocent and naive, so that look really suits her as a reflection of her character.

MEh. Her head shape, the nose, the massive eyes... She looks non-human compared to others. It's like they come from different anime. The contrast is just jarring to me.
And don't tell me they couldn't design a young, naive woman with a style more matching KO.

Naw, yeah they could. I'm not saying to like it or dislike it, I'm just saying what I think they were going with in the process of her design. Either way, it never really bothered me that much.
Like I said, the only thing that ever bothered me about Psycho Pass is that it's about as subtle as a bear on a beach.
But that's it. And even then it wasn't enough for me to go "ugh" and leave the show.
The subtlety I mean.
Not Akane.
