Well in fairness, I think AoT is more fun than Bleach or One Piece, at least by a bit, so….

 

The thing is it’s also a far cry from the likes of FMA and Madoka, etc, or even Elfen Lied/Utena/Black Lagoon category for me which means…

 

/Shrug.

 

If I was making a list of favorite anime it would be in the top 100, possibly even top 65 or something. It’s just I feel like outside the first episode you can collapse the anime into something else, if not Bleach than just something much more stereotypical. The tone is much more superficially dark than actually dark after that point IMO. Perhaps if it had been more consistent throughout that could of changed the view considerably, but at the same time how is that different from Bleach? The first arc of Bleach was the most interesting to me than it's just blegghhh.

Ha, that's the second time subjectivity come up again. I just wanted to log an opinion on a big anime since that one looked funny to me, both for positive and negative reasons.

 

I probably should mention though that the other issue was just the characters feeling pretty dang generic, outside of Mikasa, which unfortunately persists past the first episode. I'd take Yang over Levi or Eren, etc.

Nekomonogatari was great to watch just for the little time I had open and it only made me look forward to Second season so much more. But that wont happen at least in the coming week so a bit more waiting but I'll get to it!

Well that should be encouraged more, since while the topic might be more sensitive when it concerns discussing a specific shows weaknesses / flaws, I find it to be more constructive of a topic than simply lauding it for its merits. But that goes without saying, imho.

I do disagree however on the show lacking distictive qualities for its characters. The show does feature rather capable ones, such as Armin, Erwin, Annie and Levi, to mention a few. The quality certainly ranges, but I didn't find Mikasa to be an exception within the show.

I b*tched to bro about it (sorry bro) but isn't the lack of Senjoughara discouraging to anybody else? At least, I don't feel that she comes up enough times to certainly cement Ararararararagagi's feelings for her. Obviously, he's a dude, and dudes are the worst with their libido, so it's gonna be kinda weird if he doesn't find the smoking hot chicks in his harem attractive, but it'd be nice if we could get more Ararararararararagagi and Senjo together so it doesn't seem he's a complete lucky-ass sleazball with a good heart xD

No, you are not the only one. Senjo's lack of screentime in future shows is disappointing, in addition the romance aspect between Araragi and Senjo is rather lacking in the show and doesn't reach any real heights (it basically starts and ends in Bakemonogotari). Though she has a rather vital part in the last Monogotari arc, so that makes up for it in some ways.

Yeah, One Piece is good, but it'll take a bit to get used to the tone. So far it's very shounen-y, which is good. It doesn't try to outdo itself. But I heard it does and does it well later on from very reliable sources...

Caught up on last weeks SAO2. It had lots of Asuna so actually bearable to watch, need more Asuna. Asuna is the solution so indeed more Asuna. Asuna, Asuna, Asuna.

Good to hear on both accounts. Because when he's off saving the world and doing everything for everybody it seems like he doesn't really care even though it's told to us repeatedly that he loves her, or she's the only one for him.

 

Hell, I see a closer bond of love between him and Shinobu.

 

Which makes sense since they are linked by fate/stuff/things.

 

Still, hopefully the last arc makes up for it as you say.

 

And there's still more of this series to come out. But there's no way in hell I'm tackling the Light Novels.

Aye, Shinobu is the best gal in the show. Not sure if it is a rumor, but apparently Shaft has plans to animate all of the light novels. So there is that.

I want a show that combines School Days, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Bleach.

 

It would be about high schoolers who pilot mechs and date each other while crazy people with swords that have crazy abilities plan to take over the world through the destruction of the mech army. The writing would be so erratic and it would fluctuate in quality so much that people would be wonder if it's "so bad it's good" or if it's just "bad". The climax of the show would be something like the main character's girlfriend going crazy because her dad didn't love her and the main character broke up with her, so she tries to kill everyone only to realize that the warped outlook she has on life is the result of a government conspiracy that involved putting fake memories into her head via her accessing Facebook in her mech.

 

I would watch the sh*t out of that show.
