This is the best game BioWare have produced since ME2.

I'll maybe wait until a bit closer to Christmas to pick it up. Keep me updated with you (spoiler free) thoughts on it please.

Sure. Will do. I gotta say I'm not very pleased about the combat but that's just preference. I'm one of the few people who actually enjoyed The Witcher 2's combat xD so my word on that isn't very reliable.
 
Everything else is looking f*cking fantastic so far.

Errr... it's hard to say.

Put it this way. DA2's combat, at least for me, was a lot more manageable than DA:I's.

It could be me (who hasn't really gamed all that much on the PC since February) but it all feels awkward.

It's really hard to explain without me making it look a lot worse than it is or sound a lot better than it should.

I'll get used to it though.

One of my traits as a gamer is that I can pretty much get used to anything.

But what I do love is everything else. I'd say the customisation is less in quantity but far more in quality than Origins (which was really a bunch of the same armour sets with different skins.) There's tons of upgrades, crafting and bits and pieces for you to do.

The skill trees resembles DA2, which is good, I preferred DA2's skil trees to DA:O's. It had a lot more options.

The CC is the best BioWare's done.

The level of detail in maps is akin to the Witcher 2's, which is to say, very detailed. I've never been impressed with BioWare's maps since Baldur's gate 2 but they freaking delivered here. God is this game beautiful. Oh, and not to mention the TONS of sh*t you can do for the Inquisition with quests here and there.

Characters so far are competent, and they haven't named you supreme leader of everything and everybody just yet. From what it looks like now, it'll be a gradual rise to a realisation that "this dude is a good leader."

Can't say much for the plot. Not that far in. Anyway, the positives outweigh the negatives.

Oh, and it looks like there are 21 songs for you to 'collect.' Yep, there are awesome tavern songs by bards which is a cool detail that I love. It's a shame that nobody ever appreciates the little things.

Oh sounds pretty good. Still a bit curious on the combat system, but I can check that out more later.

I love those little things personally. They add so much flavor to the game.

And props for giving BG2 credit for it's maps. I rather like them too.

Higher level archers in DAO are freaking beasts IMO. Not quite as powerful as a mage but still pretty damn dangerous if specced right.
