So these prequels are great so far.

 

There's no politics though, and of course, since the first 'season' is focused on Reinhard and Siegried we have the ever incompetent nobility and military.

 

Also, it's far more personal. Focusing on Reinhard and Siegfried's relationship and them as individuals. So it's not a 'rise to power' thing since that was covered in the main show.

 

Right now in this arc, Reinhard and Siegfried have to investigate a murder in a Millitary School.

 

Of course, it's just the brass trying to get rid of him (they've tried to kill him once already in the previous arc) but he does it anyway so as not to lose face.

 

The prequels also expand a lot on the LOTGH-verse. The first arc showed us how land battles work so we got to see a bunch of tanks and sh*t.

 

Oh, and it also looks great since they're newer (90s-2000s) so it's awesome seeing everything also nice and sexy.

 

We also got our first glance at Reinhard's officers. They already looked up Kesler who was military police before and pulled off some awesome justice.

All you need are the minimum requirements.

 

Grades are worth sh*t most of the times.

 

In the end you'll be a doctor waiting tables at Starbucks anyway.

Man, this "romance" between Senjoghara and him is non existent xD it's the only complaint I have about the show.

Just so that Arahahrgghsdgusiggagi could enjoy his loli harem in peace, which apparently is the equivalent to finding Shangri-La.

Seriously though, if there is something I loathe is terrible romances or ones that doesn't ultimately lead to anything even when they have a good build up. Hence why I rarely bother with romances in general--they tend to suck.

A rule of thumb that I've set for myself is that all romances that don't include me in them suck.

Ah yes, should get around to watch Clannad myself. Keeps popping up everywhere. Toradora as well. But alas, my schedule doesn't permit me to enjoy these pleasures no matter how much I crave for it.

 

Heueheuehueh, I think I know what you are referring to. Book 11, yes? Still stuck on Book 7 (yes I am reading it) but have to continue when I get the chance.
