So I watched al 9 episodes that are currently available for the anime Madan No Ou to Vanadis and it's not too bad for a harem show I suppose. It's obvious at times that they are rushing the story. I haven't even read the Light novel and I can tell that stuff simply goes too fast at times.
But even if the show was really bad (which it isn't) I would keep watching for Eleonora. MC isn't too bad either, he actually acts competent when he has to lead.
There is also the typical "girls falls on guy" trope of course 
. MC surprisingly doesn't get slapped in this scene.
Anyway I'm curious if you people have also watched some anime set in a middle ages fantasy setting. Like I said in my post yesterday, i'm really in a fantasy kind of mood so any suggestion is welcome.

It must be my incredible bias towards LOTGH.
But I'm f*cking loving these prequels.
It's been 10 episodes and there's no politics, which is like, the highlight in LOTGH. But damn, are these arcs still brilliant and expands further on the characters of Reinhard and Siegfried and their relationship. It also does a lot to expand on the LOTGH-verse and...
Just damn.
This show is good even without the stuff that makes it good.
Though to be fair, the main show has so many elements to it besides politics that make it an incredible experience. In fact, it really has a little bit of everything. From romance and comedy to tragedy and war. All of it done with a finesse that's hard to find in most long shows since it's difficult to create that balance.

It's the unfortunate consequence of dealing with monthly manga.
I'll need to re-read Berserk a few times over before it's ALL implanted in my memory.
But Berserk was a joy to read from start to finish.
Not that Akame wasn't.
But Berserk is at an entire different level and it's my favourite manga so far.
And I have a good memory for things I love with a passion.
That's why until I'm old and senile I'll still remember at least 60% of Tolkien's lore without having to go back and re-read things xD
I know Middle Earth more than I know my own city.

Ah yes, should get around to watch Clannad myself. Keeps popping up everywhere. Toradora as well. But alas, my schedule doesn't permit me to enjoy these pleasures no matter how much I crave for it.
You should fix your schedule 
I haven't had time to finish it, but Clannad is so good.
Toradora is still my favorite anime, Spice and Wolf could have surpassed that if it was actually finished, Holo and Lawrence have the best interactions I have ever seen.

I don't know which ones you have seen but Berserk and FMA are up there, Berserk is like gothic fantasy and FMA more like steampunk fantasy.
Claymore is also one, kind of like Berserk with girls. Then there's Spice and Wolf which is sort of a medieval setting.
All those are kinda big though so maybe you have already seen them.
