One reason why I like the guy. He shares similar thoughts and interest as I do. Though admittedly, he is far more intelligent of an individual than I am.

Seeing the student council scene and Rin's reaction animated was just amazing. I couldn't even hold my laughter there.

Really though, I just love how blunt Shirou is in the student council room scene. It just makes it more lulz, more so when he tells Rin how he did it like it was nothing and Rin is just O_o

The anime stores in my city are so lame. I can't find anything I'm ever interested in anymore. Even the conventions are a bit lacking for anything that isn't SnK, Vocaloids, Naruto and Sailor Moon. If it weren't for the internet I'd never be able to find anything I like.
There are a ton of gundams which are admittedly pretty cool, but I haven't collected those in like a decade.
