Honestly I wanted a Hikaru one but it was too hard to find.

 

It's weird since she is the main character, and I know the manga has quite a few chibi-Hikaru panels even fairly early on.

This episode... This is one of the first episodes I ever saw for this series back when it was first playing on the cartoon network here and all I have to say is holy shiot. Imagine watching this episode when you were like 15 and still relatively new an unfamiliar with anime.

If you want to watch dad's shows you start with Black Lagoon or you're out of my house.

It was even worse when they changed the story/characters because they felt something was inappropriate for kids. Watch Card Captor Sakura, and then watch its American counterpart Card Captors and witness how much a dub can butcher a show and the characters (catchy dub intro though..)

I actually don't know anything about The 100, nor do I know anyone who's watched it. I just did a quick google search for the show and it certainly sounded like an interesting concept.

 

I've watched a handful of the CW's programs in the past. None are anywhere near being in like my top 10 or anything, but they've always been entertaining shows at the very least.

(Apparently Three Kingdoms takes GoT and roflstomps all over it. Looking at the trailer, it certainly is impressive just how awesome the battles look. Wonder how they can afford all that stuff.)

Yes. Yes, it does. As for battles, they are great without a doubt, but there are a lot of them and due to budget constrains you will see some repeated scenes in several battles (e.g. When an army fires arrows, it is the very same used several times). Also, since it is based on the book, which is heavily romanticized, there will be some exaggerated nonsense you will have to deal with. Mostly in terms for the 'heroes' in the show having ungodly fighting capabilities (one scene has a character jumping head first alone while carrying a baby in his arms into an army of thousands and is basically dominating in the battle). It is something getting used to.

Otherwise it is great, with a strong political and military focus, alongside great characters (Cao Cao ) and historical contexts.
