I won't say yes or no to your predictions, but I will add that Julian is a very worthy successor to good ol' Yang

Yes, I figured that Julian would do an admirale job at following in his footsteps. What I find interesting this time around with Yang gone, is that it gives the supporting characters more time in the spotlight. As the show so cleverly points out, they let Yang do everything. All the planning and thinking and so forth, they only had to follow his orders. While it was natural, as the prodigy that he was, their reliance on him was a weaknesses, and when you crush the main pillar the whole building comes falling down.

So having Julian acting as the Commander, since he has proven to be a capable individual before, with the aid of the supporting characters in different areas, sets a new stage for the the group and it is one that I think works in the shows favor quite admirably and definitely one that I am intrigued to follow.

This is also why I truly love this show since it knows exactly what it wants to tell. Even with such prominent characters as Yang and Reinhard, it would be easy for it to rely on these two to be the motivating factors in the series, but that it manages to truly grasp the essence of its focus on the war and its multitude of conflicts that it delves into, one can't help but appreciate how well it executes on it. It never looses its ground, and instead just progressively improves upon it and to see how many aspects that ties it together is impressive.

I think that girl should do less whining and more research.

The thing is saying something that a famous person said doesn't necessarily give it credibility or make what you believe anymore true, but sometimes someone says something you believe in a way that is much more eloquent then you can word it. That said people need to be able to explain why they believe that and not just rely on it because a famous person said it, and if you can't then just how well are you able to actually defend it as being something you believe?
