I've really got to watch some Vampire-themed anime. Only one I've watched and enjoyed is Vampire Knight, and that's a sort of funny show with B-movie qualities to it. But overall there seems to be a variety of classic-quality ones.
I once started Hellsing, but although stylish, I got a bit bored.
Vampire Hunter D is somewhere on my watch-list.
Definitely watch Vampire Hunter D and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. Between the two movies, I'm not sure which I'd rank as being better. I'd probably have to say Bloodlust, because of its awesome improved animation, epic soundtrack during the movie, amazing fights, better story/VA/dialogue, and everything.
Then again... the original movie was also great, despite its weak points -- which as I said, it was one of the first anime films released outside of Japan, so some of those weak points were to be expected.
So maybe they're equal. I dunno. But both are definitely worth checking out.
Also, definitely watch Hellsing. I'm not sure if it was Hellsing or Hellsing Ultimate that I watched some years ago, but Hellsing's a great manga/anime.
Have you watched Blood+?
Never heard of it. I'll keep an eye out for it and watch a few episodes. What's the show about?

Blood+ is arguably one of the best series that I've heard deals with vampire-like creatures.
I'll definitely watch it soon enough. Actually, now that I think of it, I once started watching. But I couldn't find proper fansubs, so I stalled. I think the best bet is to get subs separately.
@others - where are those pics from anyways?
@Some Geth
The main series ended so ideally that I'm really considering skipping watching any more. And I definitely ain't going to watch the 2011 any time soon, nor the Greed Island one (saw some screenies, and *bleugh* for the colors - I can not stand it one bit) and *IF* then only for future reference. At least that's how I'm feeling at the moment. Dose saturated colors and that cliche'd "camerawork" really just gives me the same feeling DA2 did. Of treachery!
edit: now, I've watched half of the first OVA ep. And it's worse already (especially the thing with Kurapika and the lightnings, also the camera zooming in and out all the time at a consistent/overused pace). I guess the original's director really had a hand in making the series great.
edit: Oh, scrap that. Ep 2 of the OVA was ok.

Does anyone know of an anime or manga that's similar to Cowboy Bebop in any way? I mean a space western with the whole film noir atmosphere going on, too?
Outlaw Star may be to your liking.

That's the problem when you try to have an almost filler-free anime, when the manga is still ongoing...eroeru wrote...

I don't really have a problem with Greed Island's art-style. But I think even you can like the fact that Hisoka was looking a lot like a bishonen in that arc.

Anyway I hate how the main series and the Greed Island OVAs ended, cliffhangers never make good endings.

Who would win in an eating contest?
Son Goku (Dragon Ball) or Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece)?

Goku. Only because I haven't watched or read enough of One Piece to know how much Luffy eats. I'm only on chapter 24 and like episode 3.Heretic_Hanar wrote...

Why is goku eating a giant piece of meat with chop sticks? lol.
He also holds a bowl of veggies in his other hand. I guess the chop sticks are for that?

I just don't get Anime. I don't understand how people can like it. It's so terrible and completely lame, it's so excessively girly, pretentious, and melodramatic. I can't stand it. I watched this crap called Ouran Host club I think it was called and all it was was a bunch of over-sexualized teenagers making lame sex jokes. It was so terrible, I coulnd't believe it even can be allowed to exist.
Please come back once you're more informed on anime and have seen more series or movies than just Ouran Host Club. Ouran Host Club is a shojo anime. Shojo means "girly". I advice you to check out some shonen series (shonen is "boyish"). Also check out some seinen anime (seinen is "manly").
So yeah, go watch some shonen and seinen series, then come back. In the mean time: Go troll somewhere else.

Well I have seen Neon Genesis Evangelion too and I though that sucked too. It seemed like it was trying way too hard to come across as deep and meaningful with all the random biblical references even though it's a show about 14 year olds piloting giant mechs. Show felt extremely pretentious and the main character is a mega-wuss. Was that a Shojo anime too?
