Mm I rather like her name as well.

If there's one thing I don't like about her though..

It's the freaking lack of decent gifs available for her.

I make .gifs with gimp, I know sim at least knows what gimp is.

There's an add-on to it that lets you turn .mp4s into a .gif.

Like this one.

Mm I've made a few of my own gifs using it before. There's some series I'm sorely tempted to go back and play just to make a ton of gifs for my own uses (xenosaga for example)

I've been using gimp for countless of things in the past. It's feasible for what I need it to be.

So... Europe and North America are getting Steins;Gate for the PS3 and vita in 2015:  http://kotaku.com/st...n-pl-1671661253

Thought it was sort of relevant to the topic.

Dayum, Japan is finally wisening up and releasing some of those pearls to us that hunger for goodness. If this sort of stuff keeps happening and we'll be getting a couple more such games over here, I might even go and buy myself a PS Vita or maybe even a PS (IF, then probably a 3, not 4) and hook it up to my PC's monitor.

So, I blame you Sim for making me rewatch FMAB with that image you posted last night.

I got to the episode Night of the Chimera, and I almost started bawling. I could not finish the episode. My soul hurts so much right now.

:(

As much as I love Japan, they are hoarders when it comes to good stuff.

Finished Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Well it goes without saying that it is an exceptional show when it comes portraying a war conflict in a realistic manner. Truly, there are so few shows that takes place in a fantastical setting who actually manages to grasp the essence of depicting the nature of humanity, and manages to convey underlying themes and analysis of civilization, along with featuring vivid characters and political intrigue, in an astute manner.

In essence, LOGTH is a tale of human history, an observation of the philosophies and personalities that drives and change it. The show delves into the concepts that create societies, never afraid to question and defend every bit and piece of it, taking into account so many causes and aspects that I could make a list the size of your mum's shopping list (well I hope it is a long one, since if not my argument becomes invalid). It is not flawless on every regard, since certain factors gets a deeper focus and developed upon than others (from characters to politics), but what it does is more than impressive.

I'm not gonna be audacious and proclaim the show as an unrivaled masterpiece, but I would be damned not to say that this wouldn't be a worthy contender for the position. If anyone knows anything better, I would happily like to be directed towards it.

In conclusion--I could go on and write essays on what makes LOTGH such an extraordinary show, but I hope to save that for later if I ever get down to write some blogs (there is certainly a lot I would like to write about)--so without further ado, I recommend this to anyone who values sci-fi war conflicts (or just conflicts in general), a rooster of great, distinctive characters and political intrigue. LOTGH has my seal of approval, and easily stands as one of my favorite shows.

Steins Gate already had an english PC release.

But this is good news. I'll probably buy it for the Vita.

Alright, Darker Than Black done.

Next is Fate. Now, as far as I understand the Nasuverse setting is quite complex, so I need a bit of help here: where do I begin and in what order do I progress so I won't be watching the series crisscrossed?

Fate/Stay Nigh: UBW (the current anime that is airing) I would recommend. Fate/Zero is prequel and seeing it first before experiencing Stay Night spoils quite a major plot point. But UBW is only up to 10 episodes and will finish its second half in April (or June to be exact) so if you don't want to wait that long, watch Fate/Sta Night 2006 version (people say it is bad, it is not. Bad adaptation of the VN, but ok as a separate anime) the watch Zero and if want more watch UBW (it is different since it focuses on a different route from the VN).

Zero first, then start watching UBW (which is airing now).

This is how I went about it aswell. Did watch Zero back in July/August and got no regrets at all at this point!

Watched first episode of Clannad. Had a good chuckle over that girl's dad going all "What? You sure have a lame name. Why din't you name yourself Milky Way Great Universe? Much more manly!" Great contrast, when just recetly coming from LOGH, hahah!

Have to agree with Paragon. F/SN 2006 > Zero > UBW. You get more content to enjoy and certain plot points aren't spoiled to you by experiencing the prequel beforehand. Not mind breaking, however.

Okay, next problem I need help with:

Fate/Stay Night is split up in three perspectives, each with their own series/season. One going down the Fate route, one for Unlimited Blade Works. In what order am I supposed to watch these?

Fate first. It is an amalgamation done poorly, trying to fit aspects from the series into one season, but it is entertaining enough and leaves several questions unanswerd, to which you will have them cleared up once you experience UBW (in addition to Heave's Feel movies that will air later).

Fate/Stay Night 2006 it is ... oh my, 18GB for the 1080p, dual audio version. I need a bigger HDD for all my anime.

My condolences. I'm having a massive case of first world problems right now, as it says I'll need about 5 hours to download all that. I usually get stuff of that size down in a third of that time.
