Y'all should watch Princess Tutu!

Especially the PMMM fans. It's a lot more mature and I daresay even complex in more ways then you'd initially think when you start watching it. The story has a wonderful way of never quite growing stale or progressing quite the way you'd expect. Very metaphysical and surreal too. Plus it uses a lot of ballet music (Particularly Tchaikovsky)

True, but Lancer's first battle was in his favor since he skillfully used his abilities to his advantage. With the cursed lifted and Saber knowing his abilities, the fight could have gone either way second time. Saber died by her Noble Phantasm deflecting from the Grail and hitting her, but yes Gilgamesh would have beaten Saber right then and there due to her weakened state. Well as Yandere Angel pointed out, it depens on the Master apparently and how strong her ability can be. Perhaps one attack wouldn't be enough, but if she can use a second or a third one, then that can be in her favor.

 

The underline is very important, don't you think?

In a normal conditions, Lancer would never have destroyed his Noble Phantasam (thus weakening himself) and remove the curse from Saber. Their initial fight was interrupted by outside interferrence. If it had continued, Saber would have been done for.

By the line of logic you're following, Saber would have easily defeated Gilgamesh is he lost his Gate of Babylon and was tied up as a pinata, thus, Saber is super strong and Gil is weak.

 

Same with Gilgamesh. She always gets her ass handed to. Except in the Fate route, where she gets Avalon (temporary invulnerability). Even then, Gilgamesh could have defeated her, if he just used the chains or burried her under a hail of swords. But Gil is OP.

 

Sabre is far from weak, but some of her opponents are REALLY good. Rider can spread his army to encircle Saber, making it far harder on her to do enough damage to his army before they close.

 

And Archer...well, Archer is Gil-tier.

 

Against other Servants she stands a far better change. Caster (due to her magic resistance) is in trouble. UBW Rider doesn't really stand much of a chance.

I don't really like films since they're short and often I don't get to appreciate the characters before the movie ends.

 

But this? It's around 2 hours long an d jesus f*ck is it a gorgeous production with brilliant writing!

 

Prefer it way over Spirited Away, and that too is an amazing film.

 

 

If you're only halfway through, brace yourself for goodness and a bit of drama. Also, lots of narm!

That's a link for the Gaiden prequels. There are other sites that stream them, but lots of those sites don't even have the files up. I'm aware of torrents you can download, but if you're not into that, then here's where I watched them with no problems at all.

 

I'd recommend going through Spiral Labyrinth first then Hundred Billion Stars. If you're a big Reinhard/Empire fan then you'll love these. Yang only gets 14 episodes to him whilst the rest is dedicated to Reinhard and Siegfried.

 

As I mentioned before, it has one arc that I found one of the best in the LOTGH franchise.

 

Also, do watch the films, they're worth it, but do NOT watch Golden Wings, it's kind of the "Phantom Menace" of the series. Hell, Yang has brown hair and freckles in that one AND a different VA to boot.

My favorite part of that movie is where she <small spoiler> revives the guy by chewing the stuff for him and then mouth to mouth recovery! How convenient..

 

Anyway you also gave me excuse to say I think it's cool to watch all the Miyazaki movies. Like, literally all of them. Well, except Porco Rosso and I never saw the Castiloro, Ponyo, or the most recent one...

 

Spirited Away, Mononoke, Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle... all good times... especially Spirited Away and Nausicaa IMO.
